03 600 H.O. rev...........I was just wondering what oil should I run in my doo, Last year I ran X-PS 2 stroke mineral Oil. Pretty pricey I was wondering if I should run a better X-PS oil in it or maybe even an X-PS synthetic oil or do I even need Ski-doo oil, could I run like Castrol Go-Snow or some knock-off oil? What would you Doo guys reccomend?
Thx in advance!

I've always ran Doo oil, but I really think it is personal prefference
I suggest you find an oil you like, drain the old, put in the new and stick with it, never mix different oils
Fix it till its broke!

I run doo synth. Yes you can run other sled 2 stroke oil. I recommend synthetic to keep the RAVE valves cleaner, longer.
Scott.
150+ mi per tank of gas/ 1200 mi per tank of 2 stroke oil!
^Take that 4 strokes!!

I posted the same question.
My respones were..
1. Piece of mind.. knowing your using the good stuff.
2. Once you start using synthetic keep using it because "oil swapping" hurts your bearings.
3. If you have a newer sled (like you do) use synthetic simply because it was designed for it..............
4. You don't really have to use the "sled brand" oil.. any good synthetic should be O.K.
I was reccomended to use AMS oil by guys on the web and other local riders.
I hope this helps ..

I have the exact same sled as you do, the previous owner ran amsoil synthetic and that is what i'm going to continue to run.
I give up. I can't think of anything witty to put here.

I believe doo says to run semi at the least for the rave valves. Some of my buddies run torco full synthetic and like it,i think it smokes lots and stinks.I ran shell advanced in the old sled and will be switching my new to me rev to it,plus its easy to get. Canadian tire usually has a sale on in the fall, aprox. $28 per gallon as compared to $36-$38

I think Doo says the 03 600HO is to use doo mineral oil or blend. A friend of mine runs the mineral oil in his sled (03 600ho) and he's never had any problems with the oil or the valves. He runs about 1,000 miles a year and cleans his valves in the spring. That's it.

I run the XPS mineral in my formula III since it is what was recommended and what the previous owner ran. has worked great, motor has 2000 miles on it and running strong.

I run Klotz full syn in all of my sleds even my 83 John deere.... The pistons rings, EVERYHTING stays clean..... No crazy carbon buildup, the tops of the pistons never even char..... I recommend the klotz... It even has a racy type smell if it matters.......
