Ok as most of you know the 08 Racer is a 100 percent differnt sled from last years racer.. due mostly to the fact that the 440 motor is no more... But here are some things you more than likely didnt know...

For 08 there are new Steering components and geometry to make the sled easier to steer and turn sharper and faster. A slight improvements to the front bulkhead and lower steering post mount to eliminate problems associated with cracking.

There is a brand new motor with almost no components interchangable with the current 600HO..... the Spark Plugs may be the same but thats about it. The motor is rumored to put out in the low 130HP... stock on Pump Gas. You could possibly see 135HP with a few ISR Legal tweeks.

Single Slip Gear is gone and replaced with a Slip Axle.... All standard Polaris Gears combinations should work in the chaincase.... Same Shock Package as The year before... not even valving.... Sled is Slightly lighter... and has a refined track and some bulkhead refinements to reduce weight where strength is not an issuse.

Now for the goodies.... You can get a Bolt On Mod Kit which was developed by the Polaris Race Department.. Here your pipes will be built by SLP But they are Polaris specifications.... With a new Billet Head, ReMapped CDI, and the Twin (yeah i said twin!!!) pipes your going to net close to 150HP with no changes to the Porting or the Carb Bore.

So far Speculation is, Bored Carbs and a little Porting will get you into the Mid 155HP range. Quite impressive from a 600 motor.

My question is How do I get one... and Where can I sign up to race hill cross???

I also have some rumors of whats gonna be out for 09... But I dont know if ill post it just yet... all I can say is get ready for some MAJOR changes in 09....

Now for the Rumor Part....the part unknown till Duluth.

Several Top Teams will show up at Duluth (or very soon after) with a New Mod Chassis..... The New Chassis will be a continued evolution of the IQ with a New Skid, New Tunnel, New Seat, New Bulkhead and Much lighter front suspension components..... It is likely that all the Mild Steel Round Tubing under the cowling will be gone with something resembling the New XP welded aluminum in it's place.... All the New plastic will be much different but it will resemble the current IQ Racer.... Expect to see those teams with extravagant shock packages utilizing the lightest shock technology available... The current IQ Racer is heavy, so expect to see the New Mod to come in very close to the ISR minimum weight of 430lbs or what ever they revise it to this season. Engine R&D is one place where Poo is working closely with the Best tuners and motor builders in the country squeezing every last HP out of this new engine. I'm not talking about the Mod Kits available to the average racer. I am talking about motors that will leave nothing on the table to the Cats or Doo's. So for now wait and see...
