Well saturday was our 6th aniversary, so after spending all of last weekend at Haydays with the rest of the "fanatics" I decided to take her to Duluth for our aniversary (which she'd been bugging me to do for 2 years now), now do to circumstances beyond my control, the romantic weekend she had planned went out the window when we ran into these characters!!!
Yep that's right, two fellow fanatics, greasemonkey and 2SEWINGS (who had to have his arm twisted to ride his ol beater Goldwing all the way up north
)
Well now I figured I was in some pretty deep chit so to make amends I took her here!!
She got to see some pretty neat old WW2 stuff that she's really into like a P-38 lightning!!!
Well for some reason that didn't work
, so I had to go to plan B!! Knowing that she (and AcMatt) love waterfalls, I took her to a state park over in Wisconsin and showed her these!
So now that I was back in her good graces, I figured "no better way to cap off the evening than with a quiet romantic supper with" * see 1st two photos!!!
And after supper what could be more romantic than having a couple brews with the guys and watchin a sled video!!! (509's First Accent) oppps!! back in the dog house!! I'd have to really pull something out of my bag of tricks the next day!! So after a "romantic" evening at a very POSH hotel (greasemonkeys living room) and breakfast at the Dry Dock with the "gang", I was off to find some way to make this a romantic aniversary!! YUREKA!! A boat ride!!!!!
ummm I can't remember if that was strike 2 or 3!!! The tour of the Coast Gaurd cutter didn't win me any brownie points either!!
So when it was all said and done I bought HER a new camera so that all of HER buddies on SF would quit giving her crap about the poor quality of her pics she posts!!!
I sure hope that does the trick, maybe then she'll quit hating me for still having the trunk of her KIA stuffed with snowmobile parts and she'll overlook the fact that I turned her living room into an NRRA drag racing shrine!!!
