Doing a 136" on my 96 XLT SP and was wondering if a 1.5 lug will fit without going to smaller drivers? My other option is a 1.25. Looking at a Ripsaw track. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! It is used on the trails but will be hitting the deeper stuff this year. Thanks!

I put a challenger 1" on my 96 xlt last year and was hitting the tunnel protectors so I had to notch the track for that, but I think with a fully notched track a 1.25" max with no mods will work just fine.

Thanks, Pinkie

With the xlt it had really tight clearances so anything different than 3/4" will need to be notched,

If you look underneath your sled there are two metal pieces running longitudinally along your tunnel. If you look they line up with the clips in the track. This prevents the track from making contact with the tunnel if you have picks. Now when you go to a new track, there are usually paddles along the clip line that will strike these protectors. So your left with 3 options: to buy a track thats prenotched for the protecters(rather expensive), Notch one yourself(good chance of screwing up) or remove the protectors(no more picks EVER) I just removed mine, it was the easiest choice

Okay, thanks for all the input guys. I will just remove my tunnel protectors, no need for studs where I ride. I appreciate all the input. Looks like I will be doing a 1.5 on it!
