I didn't go out and buy my inserts ready to put in when I got them home. Mine. . . gutter gard from the local manards. I know, cheezy. I think that it looks nice and people would never know unless you told them. I did it to my car and my truck too. They are like $2.00 for like a 4-6" x 3-3 1/2' sheet. I don't know the exact size. You just cut it out to fit over the holes. It is tedious but it give you something to do to your sled instead polishing it for the 10th time that week because you seen a spec of dust on it or just sitting on it for 2+ hours with your eyes closed thinking about past rides in that beautiful white stuff. I used rivits to mount them in the holes that are already there from the stock screens and bend over the edges for more suport. The exaust ones (pictures 1 & 7) the top is rivited useing existing hole and the bottom is duck taped for now till I bring my JB plastic weld over to my parents house. I just used it to take the pics of my sled. Break vents were harder (pictures 4 & 5). It's one bent up piece, and is probably the hardest to do. I cut a slit in the vent to slide over the tab that comes down and the black plastic slides over the tab behind it and holds it up there. Then I put the mount screw through the screen to to keep it from moving. Ill have to JB the other hole to hold that edge down. On the clutch side as your sitting on the sled (Picture 9) I drilled a hole in the tab that is there and put a rivit in to hold it in to place. I used all factory holes and only drilled one hole in a tab that didn't already have one in it. I like the inserts in the two holes that you can see while on the sled. I just think that it looks cool (pictures 8 & 9). I hope this will help you if you were wanting to do something like this. Sorry to tell you that I don't think you can buy this set up anywhere, but if you are willing to put in the time I think the end result is worth it. The amount of money that it will cost you to vent up all the holes on the hood is less than paying for the ready made ones that only cover a cupple of the holes. Just add a can of spray paint and you can have whatever color vents you want.

No, I'm not mental. Just a man with what I thought was a good idea. Thanks though. I like knowing that I am not the only who likes it. It is an 03 pro x 440 race chassis with a 03 700 motor in it. . . wish it was a 800. It would be a little more fun, I love the sled though. I went from a 97 xc 600 tripple to this and all I got to say is wow. What a difference it is. From having a hard time getting the skis off the ground to just a tap of the flipper and their up. I'm goinng to get a Iq race sled this spring and have it be my summer 800 project. Hopefully by then they will have the new 800 motor found in the rmk dragon, for sale to the public. That will be a blast! Can't wait.

Good, good luck. I hope that you were able to understand what I meant with everything. I get kinda choppy sometimes and don't always explain things to the fullest. If you have any questions just send me a pm.

Yhea the weeds will be fun, especially the cattails on the pond in my parents backyard. fun fun. I dont know if ill paint them. I think for now I will leave them the way they are. I kinda like the aluminum look, it kinda goes with the polished tunnel. If I do paint them I think I would go with white but idk. There's a good question. . . If I were to paint them what color do you think I should go with.
