Hello, i own a 1999 polaris xlt classic and would like to obtain a little throatier exhaust note. My stock has what i call the expansion pipe off the motor, then it connects to a big can which then connects to another small can directly underneath it. Does anybody know if i can get a performance can for this which would replace my stock 2 cans. By the way, i removed both my stock cans and started it. sounded pretty nice, but a little too loud.. thanks in advance for your advice !!

You can put a stock single can on from an earlier year Xlt for a little better sound or there ar DG, SLP or MBRP cans out there.

Yes, there is a slight difference. I had the double quiet can on my 2000 Triumph which has the Xlt motor. All you have to do is bend the bracket closest to the footwell to get it to work. I put the stock single can on it a couple years ago and a week ago my son put a DG can on it for fitment. Going to pull it back off and repaint it.

thanks for the info ! now i need to find a dg silencer , seems they dont make new ones anymore from what i here. I also contemplated removing the stock bottom silencer and putting a flex hose off the top silencer so i could run the tailpipe the body hole. I hate to do that though, not knowing what it would sound like until i cut my silencers apart !

I would look around for a DG can- they sound really nice on the XLT. You can probably find one cheap on E-bay .
