Queerland Sled Park is open to the public this year to come and ride the jumps ramps and whatever else they come up with.
The park was open as of last weekend, here are some pics. I guess there are a lot more jumps and stuff built since then.
I'm thinking about heading up in a couple weeks. There's a lot more info at: SledPark.com

I guess I shouldn't say it's open to the public, you have to buy a "membership" either daily or seasonal.

Well the park is on the property owned by the family of one of the guys that rides with us. We always call him Queer just to make fun of him, kind of a joking nickname (that's very unfortunate for him). And then last year when it was just a small group riding at the park everyone called it queerland because it's his place. I wanted them to call it something else, but no one liked any of the names we came up with any more than queerland. I guarantee you'll remember the name though!

Cool looking park, would be fun for sure.
Terrible name.
Must have astronomical insurance rates.

Insurance?
I don't know what they're doing for insurance, I do know that there is a waiver that needs to be signed daily.

Where does all the snow come from? Do they have a snowmaking system? If they like owning property, I think they better look into insurance. In this messed up, lawsuit happy society we live in, it's kind of necessary.
1990 Indy 400 (Slightly modded with welded tunnel cracks and various used Indy parts from models throughout the 90's)
2006 Stihl Chainsaw
1980's Vintage Lawnboy Lawnmower
2005 Husqvarna Weed Whacker (It sucks to rewind the string, but that 31cc motor sure is torquey!)
2000 Polaris XCSP Edge 600 (1.5" Track, 22x40 gearing, Aaen exhaust, Student Driver pivot riser package)
2008 RMK 600 144"

The snow is all natural. It's the U.P. where they get 300" a year quite often. So they just scrape it up with the groomer and build stuff then wait for more snow and build more and so on.

There are smaller jumps there I just don't have any pics of them. The guys will build stuff that fits the skill level of whoever will be riding there, just contact them if you want to go up...even if you don't have a lot of experience jumping.

Yeah, trying to get as creative as possible and do things that haven't been done too much before.
After the next snow fall there will be a snowboard park style spine hit that you can whip either way on, or just jump all the way over it.
