good sled, sometimes I wish I had mine back but what do ya do with limited funds and no garage room. I still like the pro x chassis better than the xc.
Expalin this to my why does my xcr 440 go though the woods faster and smoother than my xc 700 did. I even had the rear suspension calibrated and all settings the same as my 440. It would not ride or handle the same.
Kevin you gave that sled away

woodbooga: (WOOD-boog-ah), n. regional dialect, common to areas of New Hampshire and Maine including the towns of Ossipee, Alton, Farmington, Acton, and Lebanon; one who attempts to obtain free firewood to fuel woodburning appliances in an effort to mitigate expenses related to home heating with fossil fuels. Frequently used as a term of derision by non-woodburners who mock the presence of loose bark and other wood waste in the beds of their pickup trucks.

I rode with a guy who ran one for years. Very fast, very reliable, and a great all around sled.

I think you'll probably like it, and that sounds like a good price.
As far as I recall, I haven't seen any recurring problems with these sleds. I really like mine a LOT.
good luck with your purchase, I hope it works out for you!

i have a 600,same thing with smaller bore. i bought it new, actually snow checked it.I will never sell mine. i wanted a 700 but was on a budget,so the extra i saved by getting the 600, i clutched, and studded it.If the sled doesnt have a fox shock in the rear, get one for it! that stock AFX shock was a POS.And theres enuff of us here to direct you in the right direction for small reliable mods.
*04 Pro-X 600-A few mods,and go-fast parts.......136" x 1.25" this winter

I've had my eye on that very sled for awhile. I figure if I'm pretty happy with my 95 xlt I'd probably be really happy if it was a 98 xc700.

The sled rips, first thing I did was put a 136/1.75 under my sled, that made a HUGE difference for my style of riding, anything from ripping across the lake to hitting it up in the moutains, it can do it all. I did a little clutching to my sled, but I goofed that all up, got the wrong helix... lol. def my fav sled that I have owned
not to mention they look sick..
