I have my entire rear skid of my 99 xcsp because it was sagging, so I'm getting all 4 shocks rebuilt in about a week. In the mean time, the skid is just sitting on the trailer next to it. Is there any special way of lubing it, cleaning it, or modding it so it will be better for jumping. Also, there are a couple bolts bolted to the skid, but they have different holes they can go into. Should I move the bolts to another hole?

The front shocks are also off. Anything I should do up there?

When I had my skid out, I tore it completely apart. Cleaned out all of the old grease from the torque arm shafts and regreased everything with fresh grease... also put in new grease zerks. I replaced all the bearings in the idlers that were even remotely questionable. I also had the torque arms powder coated in a nice bright red.

Better for jumping... stiffer springs and revalve the shocks ?

Not so long ago, a deranged, ranting person's audience was limited to how many people happened to be on the same street. The Internet, however, has certainly allowed "crazy" to go global...

95CXR600's post says almost exactly what I was going to say.

If your suspension was sagging, you may need new or stiffer springs. Rebuilding the shocks alone will not change the ride height.
