I want to know what the deal is with all these deaths and crashes in the news when the season has barely begun?!!
I'm still fairly young. I'm not a crazy rider more of the trail riding type who once in a while will let it loose when the opportunity arises!!
These guys must be haulin' the mail down these trails not caring about anything! These are the guys that are going to ruin it for everyone else!! It's unbelievable the things you read about happening to people. You now have to worry more about the guy coming around the corner than anything else. It takes away from the relaxing ride that you go out for. Atleast it is for me!!
Can't we just get a little more responsible on the trails? huh? come on now?!!!!

I will say, I agree. It's one thing when you are on private land and want to get crazy. It's another thing entirely when you decide you own the public trails. It's a bad thing when I can't count on the approaching rider respecting the fact there may and probably will be someome (me) comming the other way. If you have a well groomed trail that has unlimmetted view for a half mile, go for it, but don't play snowcrosser on the public trails. I won't.

I agree with the relaxing ride thing. Every corner or hill you come to you wonder if this is it? Is some a*s hole going to end my life today. **** I'm even more concerned right now because I don't have health ins. Even a small wreck can leave me in bad shape financially.

lol^ i love to rip it but i only do so on my track or my trails or at the local hill, But i absolutely hate it when peaple on the trail are on your side of the road going around a corner.
Me and my freind were coming along the railbed im not going to lie we were going more than 50 klicks but we were on our side going around the bend and all the sudden these two revs came hauling ass! i would of swore they robbed a bank or somthing theyw ere going so fast they could have slowed down but they didnt and they coming straight for us! this was an old rail line and i was built up very high so there was a 7 foot drop down on each side they made us go off the trail and then it was real fun trying to get back up it.
If you want to play with the big dogs quit pissin like a puppy!!!!

I don't know....part of me thinks that all the marketing of sleds now as well as all the magazines are all about speed, getting air, ultra high-performance, etc. But the other part is a lot of folks just have no f'n common sense. I like speed and testing the handling cababilities of my sled like everybody else, but knowing your sleds capabilities as well as your capabilities are a must. It is bad enough if you get hurt, but when you take out some innocent dude.....unforgivable. What about the dude from CT that was riding his sled the wrong way on a major highway and crashed head on into a car hauling truck.....one more out of the gene pool I guess....

One day it will happen kinda like my Neighbor up the road with his lifted 250 ford he blocked the road so no fourwheelers or dirtbikes could use the old logging roads he also tied his gaurd dog to the hitch. He soon moved it iam very glad i had a new set of razr tires and new front brakes on my banshee I was doing 3rd gear burnouts on gravel spitting rocks at his truck then he tried to chase us down the trail haha what a dork. Later that night my father seen him at a local tavern my dad called him out in front of everyone and said next time you put your hunk of **** out on the road Iam taking the Gradall up to move it. I have never had a problem with him again.

Makes you think twice about taking your younger kids out. I worry enough about my 21yo but I have an 11 and 16 yo on the trail with me as well. I'm always on guard for those kooks ripping around a blind corner.

I guess I'm pretty unsafe when I ride, of course, not in the presence of others.(As in, I don't put them at risk)
If I see a giant drift you can count on me hitting it or maybe going halfway up it and coming down.
I drive very slow at night, though.. but during the day my thumb is usually tied to the handlebar, WOT
Epic.
