Everytime I start my sled this year my lights are really dim and then they would come on or look how they are suppose to until I start riding. This past weekend I noticed that my sled was not running right on low end at all, popping and slugish. When I pulled over I noticed I had no hand warmers, no head lights, no dash lights and no brake lights which got me thinking that there must be no power going to the engine which would case it to run like it did. So on my way to the gas station I hit bump and all lights came on and she was running like a bad out of hell. The connection was good for the rest of the day. Could it be the magnito is going?

Has anyone else ran into this? Could it bee a loose ground or a loose wire somewhere else? Where is the main ground on this sled. Thanks.

Just a thought, but could the main plug from the engine harness to the main harness be loose or have corrosion??

boy alot of this is going around, i had the exact same problem on my sons 98 xcr440.replaced the voltage regulator, and it was good to go.When you replace it,it doesnt hurt to clean up the ground on it,and use dielectric grease on the connections.
