I am having problems with my 2000 XC 500's lights. They are either very dim or they don't work at all. The high beams barely come on, and when I hit the break lights, they are also dim as well. My gauges are also dim. I didn't really notice it until I was about ready to go riding the other day.

The problem I am having is finding where the wires for the lights ground to the rest of the sled. Can anybody help me or steer me in the right direction of where to look? Can I create a new ground, and if so, which wire do I splice into? The sled is running fine, its just the lights won't work.

P.S. I don't have a voltage meter.

HI DO YOUM HAVE A WIRING DIAGRAM?? YOU MAY HAVE TWO VOLTAGE REGULATORS . a CDI AND LIGHTING COIL.. PICK UP A SPERRY DIGITAL MULTIMETER FROM LOWES ABOUT $45.00 IF THEY STILL CARRY THEM.
