Ride a sled with some good, open style running boards and cheese grader traction strips on them and you'll never miss the running board mounted coolers IMO.

One the few things I miss from my older sleds is the running board exchangers. Kept the ice from staying on them and helped keep my feet warm, and never overheated.

A better way to reduce overall sled weight is to lay off fast food,and leave the heat exchangers on the running boards.

I have 2 polaris with them a 97 ultra spx,and a 99 xcr 800 ,of course they also have coolers under the seat etc ,and have never had either one of them hot or even starting to get hot ,and also like that you're feet stay warm ,and never has any snow or ice on them

i always liked those heat exchangers on my bros old 400... is there any way to install them on a 05 600, but make them look factory
