$65 seems to be a little steep for a regular Snobunje. Do they really work as advertised? And what's the difference between the double S hooked one and the single one with the D hook? Are those primarily for sled to sled on the double S hooked and sled to human on the S to D? I've seen where the double S hook also has a wrist strap. Seriously, wouldn't some strong rope do just as good of a job for substantially less costs? What are those really, like a very short garage door spring covered in protective fabric or am I way off base here.

Just looking for responses from those that have actually used them in the field. Seems to me to be a bit of a luxery item for getting people out of a snow hole. If they're really worth the cost, I'm considering getting one ASAP.

Life is a miracle.

the sled to sled ones have some good results, it doesent jar the sled it gives increasingly constant pressure then after a while it pulls the stuck sled out

Could have used one a few times today.

I remember the guy at the snowshow this year advertsing them. The guy to sled one supposedly works like 3-4 guys pulling on a ski. $65 or having to leave your sled and riding double back an hour before dark to avoid leaving your sled in the hills overnight. I would rather have at least one in the group you usually ride with. I know it has saved me a time or two, and would have made things way easier a few times today.

I have one and it's straped to my back pack where I can get to it easy.
They do work well and I don't normally go out riding with out it.

It's true that I do compete with the guys at Snowbunje with the left hand throttles,
but that's OK. They are good guys with good products that work.
Rick and Dana at Snobunje are friends of mine too, if that matters at all.
