Possibly heading out to Ashtabula late Saturday, do you know if there is enough snow out there to last through the upcoming warm-up to make a worthwhile trip? I know that no one can predict how fast the snow will melt but if there is only several inches on the ground now then I'm sure there won't be enough by the time I can get out there. Basically wondering how much is on the ground now. Thanks

I am about 45 min west of Ashtabula. We have plenty of snow. I rode today at Punderson State Park and conditions were ideal. There was about 16" of powder on the ground. Trails were in pretty good condition. I don't know how the Greenway trail is because I have studs and I'd rather obey the rules. It has been frigid cold here so nothing has really melted.

Mapquest Location of Punderson

I'm an hour west of Ashtabula. I'm right between Akron and Cleveland. I ride at a friends farm in Jefferson and Austinburgh townships. I always ask about the greenway because it is real close by to where I ride and the snow conditions should be the same. I never registered my sleds so I am unable to ride at the state parks and such.

Depending on when you get up there I'd say you'd probably be ok. Since you won't be riding the trails, conditions will probably be better than greenway. It's supposed to be high of 37 tomorrow and 50% chance of rain which looks like it will hit around noon. If you could get up there Friday night I think that would be a better alternative.

Well if you head up there give me a shout if you need some company Sent you a PM with my phone number.
