So I left Friday the 21st for Cooke City, Montana. The four of us met a fifth in Livingston, MT and took the long way through Yellow Stone. The trip really didnt start well and it didnt get much better for the rest of the group. A week before we were set to leave my buddy blew up his 700 RMK. Apparently after taking it apart he had a cracked a pto seal and things went down hill from there for him. So lucky enough for him I was planning on picking up an 07 Dragon RMK while out there so he used my REV for the trip. (Bad call)

So with everyone ready we rode up into the hills for a day of riding. It was epic to say the least. We dropped into Daisy pass, which was untouched from the past snow fall. Riding in 2-3 feet of fresh was great but it was still coming down hard and visibility was less then 20 yards at time. Our leader, who had been in Cooke countless times, took off into a prarie where he found himself a creek bed and an end to his week.

At about 40 he came to a dead stop. Might I add he is 70 years-old. Bent the bars, smashed his windshield, tweaked both trailing arms, and messed up his leg pretty bad. We got him out of Daisy which was quite a task with 3 feet of fresh on the pass and a down sled, and then the three of them headed back to the cabin for the day. Me and my buddy Craig, on my Rev, went back into Daisy and spent the rest of the day getting stuck and enjoying the hell out of having the entire area to ourselves. We saw no-one else all day!

The following days were just as great. Did I mention the D700 was absolutely flawless? Well it met all my standards and took me everywhere I wanted to go and probably shouldn't have been! Day three brought the demise of the XLT SKS. Coolant in the exhaust and a rear suspension that looked to have fallen off a cliff were just the beginnings of its troubles. We were now down to three sleds (two of which were mine) and four riders.

The fun wasnt over yet. The Switchback had a run in with a cornice which led to a busted windshield and a broken choke lever. Other then having to people to start in the morning it was good enough to go! X-mas came and so did 123543678575463 people. Still had no problem finding fresh, but it just wasnt all for ourselves like earlier in the week.

leaving, like always, sucked because I knew WI just didnt compare. So here are the pictures from the trip that turned out decent. I tried making a movie out of the video I had but for some reason my computer deficiencies wouldnt allow me to get uploaded. Maybe someone can help?

What is left is an anamalistic will to survive. And the memory. There will be those who mock me here and say things about me. And they are not far off. However they know nothing of Honor. Or sacrifice... Bravery is being the only one who knows your afraid...

Looks like a pretty good time. I wouldn't mind riding Cooke sometime...among other areas. Me and a couple buddies usually go to West Yellowstone; we were there this year Dec 26-29...

A mountain lion roaming the prairie found a bull, killed it and ate the entire bull. With a heavy belly, unable to walk, the lion laid in the tall grass moaning and roaring. Soon a hunter, attracted by the roaring, shot and killed the lion. Moral: When you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut!

Oh and the best part about them doesn't even involve the looks. The sled straight rips stock, and I sure as hell am not leaving it like that
