We took off Dec. 26th at 5 A.M, and were riding in awesome powder by around 330. The 27th was pretty nice for riding but the next two days were extremely windy, which made for horrible conditions until you made it to the trees. Kinda upset cause we didn't get to do as much climbing or make it back by WidowMaker and RollerCoaster hill, but there will be more trips. The family friend that we ride with invited a father and son to come ride with us but the dad didn't ride much cause of the weather and they didn't make it up until the 28th because the son was getting his new sled built. Its a custom Yamaha Apex with more goodies than I can remember. Wiseco Racing Pistons, Vanamberg Tunnel, Custom Suspension, two-stage turbo, custom hood, basically all the bells and whistles. The sled cost between 25-30 GRAND! He couldn't open it up cause it was obviously brand new, but it was still sick. He had to run 111 octane racing fuel in the sled. The dad rode a supercharged apex the short time he did ride Both sleds were pretty insane. One more thing bout the weather, it was so bad that 3 guys from our hotel got lost. Apparently two made it out that night and I just heard today that the 3rd was found the next morning, so thank God for that. Ps...sorry the pictures aren't very good, it wasn't the best picture taking weather and extremely hard to get good action shots. The ones we have didn't turn out for the best.
Here's the pics, enjoy:
First the Custom Turbo Apex:
Then a few other goodies:

I believe some Billet Big Wheels are in order next. The sled sounds like a stock car and everywhere we went he got stares and people standing around it. Its nuts hearing the turbo wind up. I forgot to add he's got aftermarket ski's, fox float shocks all the way around, and the tunnel is powdercoated, as well as the A-Arms.

looks like fun, I'd like to someday make it out to the snowies..PS. that apex looks sweet, and they should always come out of the dealer with a turbo..

All I know is that it was built somewhere in Wyoming, where ever the family had a cabin at. The dad wants to build a custom nitro now, minus some of major mods...
