my friend rear ended me and then about 20 miles later my track blew. after taking it off and looking cloesly(cant see in the pics) his skag cut my track and that is what caused it to blow. i cant say anything because i didnt look at my track when he hit me....i never thought his ski went under my tunnel and over my track....it sucks cuz i am now out 500 bucks. his dad thinks that your not supposed to use your brakes that much on a snowmobile so he has them set pretty crappy. his dad is a idiot.....later that day he couldnt stop in time and hit a tree too....  blown track  blown track  blown track

92 bronco XLT 5.8 litre, hooker headers, strait pipes, 31" mudders. soon a 3" lift so i can get 33's.

thats crappy but looking at the other side and all the threads showing looks like it was almost time for a new one anyhow.

most of that is snow....but that track would have been good for at least 2-3 more years.

So your friend hit you while you were riding your dads sled right?
Sounds to me like your buddy has a track to replace.

Since it is obvious that your friend hitting you was the cause of the blown track, I would think it would be reasonable to ask him to pay for it. If he was decent about it, he would offer to pay for it, or at least some of it. It's tough when things like this happen between friends.

^^X2 it is difficult. i was riding my sled when this happened. my ZR 580. that was before i snapped my crankshaft. his dad now hates me and i dont think i am friends with him anymore...his dad thinks that i am lying cuz i know that their family has more money than ours so i can get him to pay for it. his dad doesnt know anything about snowmobiles and thinks that i ran over a beer bottle or something on the trail. o well this way i can get what i want instead of the value of the track. and the good part is my dad is letting me use one of his ZRT 800 mods...yes!!!lol
