My dad is thinking of trading his 2005 Polaris edge touring in for a 2008 yamaha vector what do you guys think he should do he owes 1500 dollars on his touring and this sled is around 9000. We still have to convince my mom into letting him get it though.Any comments are appreciated.

Does anyone know anything about the vector like top speed and how well it stands up to 600 2 strokes?

A friend of mine with a Vector regularly wins the 600cc 660' drags. He absolutely loves it and the year after he bought it he sold his Rev for another 4 stroke.

I have a quick M7 that beats some Firecats and some 800cc sleds. His Vector stretched out to 136" can almost take me in 660'. If it was 800' he would win everytime.

They are sneaky fast and very smooth, besides that they get great MPG, I mean great. Not uncommon on normal cruising days if you would see 20mpg, for sure 16-18mpg.

For that price though he could pick up a new 07 Apex :)

He's almost 50 so he really didnt care if he had 150 horespower he said the 120 would be enough for him. Hes gonna see what all the yamaha dealers have for holdovers too.

I have an 08 Vector LTX GT and I can tell ya a 600cc 2 stroke is no match for it. I also have an 03 600 Polaris, that I am going to line up and compare just for fun. The 3 cylinder Vector is an awesome motor, smooth power, lots of torque and excellent fuel mileage, I average 20mpg, have gotten as good as 22.10 mpg on a very easy groomed trail ride. Playing in the powder I get 16-17 mpg. It gets better every ride!
