After seeing the success of the Official SF ride out in MN we need to set up something out west. I don't think there are as many rockies riders on the forum but there must be enough for a small get together somewhere. We all seem to have plenty of snow around locally so don't feel the need to travel but it could happen.

Where to hold it is another question, we all are proud of our areas we ride and want to show some of it off (and keep some spots secret for ourselves). WY or ID are somewhat centrally located for everyone. West Yellowstone and Island park are fun but somewhat over rated tourist traps and fairly expensive. We need to get some ideas floating around for next season so we can get something planned and start saving up for it.

We have riders in WA, OR, MT, WY, ID, CO, and UT.
Boise area is good and pretty much in the middle area of these.
We have 5 good riding areas all with in a mornings trailering distance in about 3 different directions.
Each a little different, Each good in their own way.

Actually more than that, but a few of them are directly connected and so I count them as 1.
IE: Pilot's Peak parking is about 5 or so miles from Woop-em-up parking and the 2 areas are actually the same area. A couple other areas are like this.

Didn't really think of the WA or OR guys. Boise would work fine for me, but we all know how your schedule is Darin. You would have to guide us.

In reality we would have to have a few guides. One to lead the off trail boondocking group and one that did a little less extreme riding, along with tail guides for the groups. Groups couldn't be too large either for any amount of off trail riding. We had a group of 10 last weekend and there were a few times we were all playing and gathered up and looked around and there were only 9 and had to backtrack to find the lost guy. Don't want that hapenning with a large group unfamiliar with the area. Seems that a group of 6 or 7 boondocking is about the max. Alot easier for everyone to look around and see if someone is missing.

Are there any places that we are able to ride in and ride out of up there? There is really nothing like that here that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to stay at.

ProjectRMK is here in Boise as well.
I doubt that we would get more than 7 or 8 riders actually.
We are talking about a weekend and I know my schedule is rough,
but with out having to travel, I can make the time.
I can play tour guide too.
I know the Pilots Peek area about like the back of my hand.
In McCall, you have to ride quite a bit of trail to get anywhere.

If I came up I would probably bring my core group of 2 for sure, and probably 4 besides me.
