Well, I want to make my sled louder and not have to spend money. In a recent topic, someone said soak the can to harden the glasspack. How long do I soak it for? Does it need to be hot, cold, warm, or room temperature water, does it matter?

So it will make it louder??
From my understanding, yes. Because once it dries out, the glasspack will harden and not baffle sound as much.

a bunch of kids who ride the lake around my area have done that. ive posted it a couple of times.
now i dont know if this is a joke or not, but if you are willing to experiment.....
submurge the can for over 24hrs. then take it out, let it drip, then put it in the oven.

Wouldn't it just be simpler to soak the whole sled? Just leave it underwater for a day or two, heck, even until spring. I am sure the landowners would appreciate it!

It's only like 5-6 springs is it not. It doesn't take any effort at all. Takes all of 5 minutes.

Before I continue, if I don't keep this sled for the whole season, I promise to never sign on to Snowmobile Fanatics again.

Will do. I'll take her out to the lake before hand, and make sure to give you the full before. Then soak it for 24 hours, put it in the oven at 350 degrees for 2 hours, and then slap her back in and head off to the lake again.
Also, one more question about it, am I looking at any power/torque loss/gain here?
