Check this out. http://www.news.com/Microsoft-bids-44.6-...=nefd.lede

That's a LOAD of money. I guess I was a bit late putting my bid together. Oh well, always next time.

I didn't read the article closely but I wonder if there will be any anti-trust implications that will have to be okayed by the SEC before they are allowed to complete the deal? It will be interesting if Yahoo does go to MSFT.

Wow, That would be HUGE for Microsoft if you ask me. Sounds like a recipe for success. Just think, if Microsoft is willing to give you 44.6 billion dollars in cash and bonds, you might want to talk a little business.

There are no bonds in this deal. It comes with the "option of cash or stock".

Microsoft paying in cash......haha.

I really didn't think Yahoo was worth that.

They will accept it.

Where do I sign????

Gates may have to sell off one of his islands....errr probably not.

I am surprised they haven't tried to buy or merge with any oil companies. That would really have our economy by the gonads.

Article just came out saying that the regulators will probably allow the deal if the offer is accepted. Man i wish I had the power of Mr. Gates.

This news has to be rattling for Google, look below, This could be the time to "Sell" it.. $600 a share for Google at one point!

Feb. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Google Inc., the most popular Web search engine, fell the most since it went public after fourth- quarter profit missed estimates, signaling investors have soured on one of the fastest-rising technology stocks of the decade.

Google lost $48.40, or 8.6 percent, to $515.90 at 4 p.m. New York time in Nasdaq Stock Market trading, the biggest drop since its August 2004 initial public offering. The decline, which dropped Google from the 20 biggest U.S. companies by market capitalization, came the same day Microsoft Corp. bid $44.6 billion for Yahoo! Inc., Google's closest rival.

Yeah, he probably better hurry up and get this ramrodded through during the present administration. You know, the one that kisses Big business's ASS at the expense of the little guys like us.

Case in point... Exxon record profits...oh and due to Georgie boy's Capital Gains Program his congress gave him, they don't even pay taxes on it.

Get this man OUT of office. Thank God he has less than a year left to continue destroying our economy and sending us in to further spiralling debt.

Just my opinion.
