More powerful Phazer would be nice. Still not sure I would buy a 4-stroke, but at least it would be a step in the right direction for them.

A 136" Nytro would be my guess. Maybe added power to the Apex. I dont expect anything new from Yammi. They will just extend the sleds they already have into different variations.

I don't think it will happen but it would be awesome if they threw a new powervalved triple in the apex chasis.

I think you will see less DB2 chassis for 09, more track options and maybe 170 HP Apex in Nytro Chassis and expect larger fuel tanks because 7.8 Gallons ain't cutting it! I read it on TY too many people didnt like that, so I am betting Yamaha will probably slap 9.5 or 10.5 gallons for 09!

Well judging by Yamaha's recent sled...I would say they are working on an even uglier sled than the last prototype I saw! Which is pretty damn ugly! They ugliest!

Id like to see any of thier models turbo'ed.

Or maybe a lighter apex/vector chassis with thier old iron engine, SRX 700.

But I doubt either will happen, just the basic graphic/package updates.

It would be nice to see them bump the Apex up to 165+hp. Or shock everyone and have it at 180hp. Nobody who wants a fast sled will be able to resist it. Its stupid fast in long runs with 150hp.

The turbo thing is kind of a toss up. In the early stages they were probably thinking of reliabilty. Now there are RX1s out there with 20,000 miles on them that are still stock and RX1s running turbos and supers with over 10,000 trouble free miles. Now it is probably too much liability to put a turbo on a sled and have it well over 200 hp stock.

Yamaha won't be going to a 2 stroke any time soon. This weekend we were watching Boondockers and Team Thunderstruck riding and the Yamahas were walking all over everything else climbing. There was a twin turbo Apex running on propane that would leisurely start going up the hill and then giver and the skis never touched the ground the rest of the way up. Granted most of the other sleds would leisurely start up and then giver and gain speed, nothing like the Yamahas.

It will not be a 2 stroke.
Yamaha has definately gotten away from them.
Look the the dirt bikes they put out.
That will tell you right there where they are headed as far as the 2 stroke vs 4 stroke desisions go.

I'm guessing suspension upgrades to current models, maybe a little more power and a little less weight.
At this point it's purely speculation though.
