Who cares, unless it's a 2 stroke. Hopefully they are on track with rotax technology and have a direct injected 2 stroke. I've even read (through 3rd party publications) a direct injected 2 stroke runs cleaner then a 4 stroke. So perhaps yamaha will see the error in converting everything to ugly 4 strokes and give us a kick ass new 2 stroker.

It would be nice to see them bump the Apex up to 165+hp. Or shock everyone and have it at 180hp. Nobody who wants a fast sled will be able to resist it. Its stupid fast in long runs with 150hp.

Agreed, that would be sweet.

and I think they are definetly done with the 2-stroke, even thoe I wouldnt mind seeing it back.

hopefully they will clean up the look of them.
and i dont understand people being stuck on 2-strokes??
Just look at quads and dirtbikes, not long ago they were all 2-strokes and now everything at a professional lineup is 4-stroke.

give it 5yrs. and 4-strokes will be just as light, or lighter than the 2-strokes..

there still not as light. 250 2-strokes are lighter, in every class. 125 2-strokes are just as light, or lighter than your average 150 4-stroke

Yamaha has a few changes for next year. Main one is 'new' revamped apex.

They would not waste time developing 2 strokes, 2 strokes are no where near as reliable as 4 strokes are. Everyone bags on 4 strokes...ever ridden a 08 nytro? Thing pulls harder then any sled i have ridden(apex, mach z,xp 800s, f7, 800 mod race sleds even etc. etc.). Plus you don't need new rings and pistons every 2000 miles!

My 2 stroke doesnt need rings or pistons every 2000miles. And I dont want a sled that the engine will last 50,000miles. Everything else on it will be junk by that point. There are 2 strokes with that many miles but they are useless cause everything else is gone.

And if the Nytro pulls harder than an Apex does that mean the Apex is junk. Yammi must have a secret that allows a sled with less power to pull harder. And your goin a bit far saying it pulls harder than 800 mod sleds. If it does then you mustve ridden some pretty crappy sleds. It doesnt even pull as hard as the 600 SnoX sleds.
