Well, yesterday we did some riding at the northshore. We covered 150+ miles of trail/off-trail/lake, etc. The weather was pretty good all day. The temps started out in the teens and dropped to well below zero by the time the day was over. The wind picked up considerably throughout the day and, as is typical for the northshore, the weather changed quickly and frequently throughout the day. One minute it's snowing with terrible visibility and the next it can be sunny out. Overall, fun day. The sled performed well and I am very pleased with this cobra track so far. I still need to do a bit of clutch tuning but it's close. Next weekend I'll have time for that when I go home with the sled. I didn't get many pictures but the other guys should have some good ones and a few action shots as well.

Had a good time with Erick, Wallygator and the zoo.
Leaving out in the morning.

The Zoo needs a salt shield for his trailer or Erick needs to get a cover for his sled.

Erick's first jump landing straight.

Erick's second jump landing to the left again, bending his rail once more.

Lunch at the Tressle. Hardly any sleds there.

Erick relaxing on a big rock.

By the end of the day the weather turned to crap but we still managed to put some good miles on.
The only sleds we saw all day were by the Tressle inn for lunch.
Did alot of logging roads and small one lane trails. Found some lakes that were untouched by other sleds. Also found some open water that the zoo was looking at real close. Talked him out of it being as we were in the middle of nowhere in case he had problems.

Fri. Wallygator and me put on 200 miles on trails in the morning than off trail in the afternoon taking a "shortcut" back to Isabella from Hoyt lakes. Only had to use the gps a couple of times.
Going back up next weekend with 2SEwings to do some more backwoods exploring to find some more "shortcuts".

It hooks up much better in lose snow than my ripsaw did and it's still great on the trail. I like it.

As for the rail. If it hadn't been bent before, it would have never bent again in that landing. I was hardly crooked and wasn't high. I certainly didn't have a rough landing. I'll be ordering a new rail tomorrow and re-bending/reinforcing this one next weekend so I can ride until the rail shows up. I landed much harder, higher, and more crooked landings last year with my rail extensions and never bent a rail like that. I don't see why these rails should be bending. Maybe I got a bad rail.
