R.I.P. Christoph and Jeremy Godspeed boys....You will be missed.

With that said I would like to set one thing straight. It seems all to common problem with the media to refer to all avalanche deaths as a result of "highmarking". In this case it was not. The terrain they were riding was natural hip they they were doing whips when the slide let go.

This has put things in perspective for me, this is an area that I frequent. In fact I was suppose to be there yesterday with Team907 until I went to load my sled and discovered a leaking base gasket. Team went there any way and had an excellent day on the front side. Chris and Jeremy arived about 2:30 and talked to team briefly before they headed over, an hour later they died.

That is a hard thing to deal with for anyone and I assume that it is even harder for the AK snowmobile community especially the ones who knew and rode with these guys. RIP, and everyone else be safe this year.

Wow. I'm stunned. R.I.P. for sure. At least they went out (although WAY too early) doing what they love. But my God. Sad, indeed.

Hey all....

A sad day for enthusiasts everywhere. Not sure if you caught word about some deaths at Turnagain pass, AK but I wanted to update everyone with some news that we got from Dane when we went out to Valcourt to pick up our sled.

While shooting for 2 stroke 11, five riders got caught up in an avalanche. Two riders were able to shake free but the other two, Jeremy Stark and Christoph Von Alvensleben, were under for 20+ minutes and could not be saved. These two riders were awesome for the sport and great friends of our AK buddies. We never had the priviledge of meeting these guys but our thoughts go out to their friends and families. Christoph can be seen in a plethora of films including the THC and 2-stroke series.
