^ Had to have some fun with it. At least it wasn't a track or a piston! I was diagnosing it while stoping.. thoughts were
"brakes work, its not the track, engine revs so its not the motor". Meanwhile I am still coming down from 100+

^ 1. Why are you confused?
2. Why weren't you there! geeze thats not far from you at all sucker.

Some shots from on the lake and one action towing shot

Well I looked up that place. Its called Salmon River Reservoir. Here is a picture of it and the red line is where we rode. Jesus I didn't want to see this. The picture doesn't make it look long but its miles.

Turns out that place is 20-50 feet deep. Looks like from the contour map I found we were on 20-40 feet of water.

Mdmaniac calls his dad and he comes to get him with truck and trailer. Its now raining pretty good. Great. So 1/2 of us head out to a gas station about 5 miles away or so and the other 1/2 stay to help load the sled on the trailer.
We are now in the town of Oscala. 1 working gas pump at this tiny place. 3.99/gallon, not to shabby.

Here is 1/6th of the sleds that were here. Remember, its raining and everyone is COVERED in ice and there is one gas pump. Amazingly everyone was smiling.

NY_driver says he knows the way (we lost our leader MDmaniac) so we head out. 20 miles of bumpy trails later I take this picture

You see where that is? We are now back at the same gas station.

working on next segment

That is a long freakin' way to go! NY_Driver sure knows where he is...

^ Wow, glad I stuck the camera down there and took the pic. Closest I have come to diagnosing a mechanical problem in a long time!

Report is great except I dont like the way you guys are outing Ny-driver here. If you had a problem with him or his riding you could have sent him a PM. What happens on the trails stays on the trails. Its not right to drink and ride but I cant see anyone 34 yrs old that drinks getting that wasted in 2.5 hours after eating a 1/2 pound buger on 3 beers. And it sounds like he has logical answers to most the neg stuff you have said about him. Just think you should have Pmed him about it matt before you bust all over him in public.
-
A few people said stuff in person. I recall Dan (red switchy) yelling out of his helmet while stopped.

Think of it as you wish, but I don't picture 10 people sending him 10 pm's about it. I see one person pming him about it and him saying whatever and deleting it. When 10 people read it and say "yep I was there and agree", it tends to sink in more and maybe next time he will think twice about 3 beers and riding since many people there are saying the same thing.

We have given him many props on many things so we are not "outing" him or calling him "wasted". We are calling him "impared". Before the drinking, he did nothing out of the ordinary and all was well.

-
^^ It is never easy to have discussion about a serious issue, and while I agree that the forum is not the place for mindless personal attacks, this is an issue that affects all of us as riders and I don't see commenting on this issue as a personal attack. I am personally trying to attack the ISSUE not the individual. If one person that reads this thread thinks twice before ordering that second or third beer, I am happy. Unfortunately, every life lesson has a precipitating event and often someone that was central to that event; in this case it is ny-driver. Achotrod, it is not about being wasted . . . it is about having diminished reflexes - that is what causes accidents. These are the cases that hurt someone. I know this is going to sound overly dramatic, but I will say it anyway: I have looked into the eyes of a mother who has lost a child due to something like this - it sucks and almost always starts as something very innocent. Rather than a personal attack, I'd like to think we can look at it as an opportunity to bring light to an issue that affects us all as riders. WE ALL make mistakes and the sign of a good man (or woman) is how we learn from the observed mistakes of ourselves and others. This is not Las Vegas, so I don't agree that this kind of concern needs to remain on the trail.

Ride safe and sober! Make every ride a round trip.

Thanks Bobby, I'll remember that....

On a side note, i've been doing alot of thinking lately, and i think it might be time to hang up the skis for the season, see if i can get rid of it all while there's still a small demand for it and put it towards a new sled next season....either that or buy a $475 camoplast cobra, that's what the decision has come down to....

my xlt aint quite cuttin the cheese anymore, not since i got spanked by just about everyone who lined up with me....my sled used to be fast!

Get looking at an edge brenden. Mush better through the bumps and I am sure you know that. Your sled was rocking until you blew the track!

Started out as a great topic......lots of laughs. Started going south when someone could not take some feedback. If you are not willing to take feedback because of your actions....change your behavior so you do not get in that situation. He wasn't "outed." He "outed" himself. Outing someone is to make public something that a person is trying to keep secret......like Matt liking sheep...hahhaha

Lighten up girls.....behave....be men.....stop crying...

Some of you are the same guys who nailed me for ragging on a drunk guy that got killed. I guess the media "outed" him. That's my rant.

Current clutch setup-
Black magic helix
Roller secondary cover
And I think the weights and springs were part of the black magic clutch kit.

It was all setup and tuned by Jancen Motorsports by Buffalo NY http://www.jancen.com/

Its already got a real nice clutch kit, didn't you notice

I would like a clutch aligner to get it closer than I have it now since the motor swap work.

I will determine what this spring is from. The clutch isn't from a ZRT.. but doesn't matter as its a 9 tower. I think the clutch spring is a black magic. I don't know. Orange with green dots. No idea what the dots are for and according to my book here orange spring wasn't an option for ZRT and dealer verified this over the phone. I will call Jancen tommorrow.
I guess this is another destruction picture. Looking at it, it looks to have been broken awhile actually.

It's spotty down here, i wouldnt ride the trails from here, but once you hit anything north of oneida county, its a totally different world.

ACM, thats why you were so fast, you had all primary!!! [beat] But call up jancen tomorrow, tell them you are looking for an orange/green spring. If they dont know what your talking about let me know, i have access to speedwerx/Parts Unlimited/Marshall Dist. among some others, I can see what i can find for you.

To part it or not to part it? What does everyone think? Ill only be losing whats left of the season and i might even be able to pick up a decent sled come end of the season.........?

thats a hard decision Brendan, look how much money you spent on it. But the amount of times it has left you ride less. And all the great snow you have missed waiting for parts and putting it together. I do also have that yammi if we r going to ride. so if you want to part it out.. you will have a sled to ride. Maybe you should just change her back to 121 and then sell her or part it out. get what u can before the season is over.

I don't know if it's necessary to put my two cents in, but I feel as though I should. Personally, I don't drink and ride, but that is my preference and my knowledge of how my body reacts to alcohol. I can not say that I'm innocent, because I've driven after drinking too many, almost everyone has. I do feel that it was wrong to publicly call NY rider out on the forum. Yes, he had a couple beers while riding but from what I've read no one stepped up to say, "that's enough," or "I don't feel comfortable with you leading or riding with us after the amount of alcohol that you've had." In addition It's been said that there was about 1.5 hour stop for food. It takes the body about an hour to metabolize a drink which is one 12 oz beer.

I do not condone drinking and sledding, but I do not condone calling this guy out to everyone before you talked with him privately. There were 12 guys that had the opportunity to say something while riding and in PM and all of you failed to do so.

Lastly, Matt I believe that you are abusing your powers as a moderator. You wrote in one of your original posts the speed that you were riding on the lake, but then wrote that if you find out it is illegal in a few days that you will edit the post. We are only given 30 minutes to edit a post, but you as a moderator are given as much time as you want to edit your post. That doesn't seem right to me.

We didn't get home until 11:30. We grabbed some Monsters once we hit the cheaper gas stations in PA to fill up the truck. Didn't even unload the sleds last night. Didn't regret the late departure at all! It was well worth it.

THANK YOU! I wanna see the vid as well! brenden, part her out and get a nice sled...Matt hit some points about how much riding you missed out on due to it breaking and leaving you rideless. Or you can take off the pipes and be all godd and go back to 121 just for a sled to ride.

It was a great time^^^I cant wait until we can do it again, just without the breakdowns and at a little bit faster pace.

"Who cares about triples, I could hit myself in the face with a frying pan and feel just as good as riding 10 miles on xtra 10." hahaha
