Well I would say our devils lake ride was a success today, the riders that showed up were Me"RMK-King",Quinlan,Vmax600,icy*****,blackcat,Hermie,SKS-Rider,PolarisPerson and ArcticCat1.
We ended up with around 80 miles, mostly playing off trail. We got stuck several times and found some waist deep snow, and best of all no one broke anything. Hopefully they all post there best pics up cause I know quite a few were takin. I will start off with a few from my camera.
Quinlan biffed the landing coming off this one..

Cool pictures! I'll have mine uploaded tonight...I left my cord for my camera in Fargo.
It turned out to be a great day. It was blowing/snowing at times with poor visibility, but thankfully most the day was relatively clear. I can barely move today, but it was worth it.
I must say I was very impressed with my SnoPro. It handled awesome and pulled hard all day. I also found that it really liked the air. I came off a couple jumps sideways though, and was forced to bail/biff like that in the first picture, but that'll happen.
To all those who were there, it was a blast riding with everyone! Perhaps our paths will cross again sometime.

Not to bad boys, what kind of temps were you in? Looks like some deep pockets of snow around. Yeh you would be amazed at what kind of sketchy landings you can stick with out a swaybar and stiff shocks on a race sled.

^ The day started out warm. Probably 20* or so but blowing. By the end of the day it was single digits and blowing quite a bit more. This was the first time I had ridden the SnoPro, so I was intrigued how it'd handle in the air. Much better than the ZR, I did conclude that. The rear suspension could be a tish softer, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I'd thought. I currently have the sway bar on mine...if we ever get some decent snow I might pull it and see how it does without it.

I believe on that one he was going through the drifts and the sled bogged, causing the front end to drop, resulting in the plowing of the snowbank.

It was bare in some spots, but some of the deeper pockets we found had probably 5 feet. I have a picture that I'll upload where all you can see is my buddies head sticking above the snow.

I had a great time. I haven't gotten to play in snow like that for a long time. The sno pro was still bogging, guess my assumption of the extra oil and warm temps from saturday were wrong. Screwed me over quite a few times, but at least nothing broke. Another 84 miles on my sled.
Here is some of RMK-KING. I forgot to grab my camera in the morning, so I missed alot of good pictures we had in the morning.
Quinlan.
I've got more, but it has taken me 5 hours to get these uploaded. My patience has definetely run out.

Towards the end of the day some girls showed up, which grabbed some of the other guys' attention for quite awhile.
SKS-Rider showing off to some girl whom he later threw off the sled while carving with the Summit. No pics of that though.
Here's some videos of that spot.
We weren't sure SKS-Rider was actually going to hit the bales, so I didn't have the camera ready. Caught a bit of it though.

That Summit was quite the sled. I couldn't believe how manuverable it was with that long of a track. You guys were throwing it around like a short track.
Hopefully by next time I'll be in a little better shape and have my sled running better.
First time really jumping as well, I wish I could remember the term for the cramp you get in your arms from sqeezing the handlebars so much. I was shot after lunch.

^No super man attempt here, truth is I grabbed some brake to level her out and a grabbed way too much
Time of my life....I was pleasantly surprised by the snow conditions...I wasn't expecting to get stuck at all. The only way it could have been better is if the temperature hadn't changed so much resulting in my sled running a little better. All in all excellent time well worth the 1000 miles put on my car and Quinlans truck combined to get there.
It seemed like to me, at the very end of the day when there were 5 left standing (because 3 left to meet some chicas) is when someone observing me might of have been quite amused. Not only riding but taking my boots off in the parking lot as well.

This post has been dead for awhile now; good time to bring this in...
Icypu$$y and myself had an entertaining way to finish our weekend. We were sitting on the Expressway in Bismarck, waiting to turn onto I-94, when something catches his eye. I was in disbelief right away, but sure enough, he was correct...
...3 kids were pushing their mighty Honda up the overpass. We are not sure why, but we found it amusing. Did we stop to help? No...there were 3 of them...we figured they could get done what they needed to get done...I took pictures instead.

^ All the action is in the NY ride thread.
They probably ran out of gas.
Can't say I would have helped them either, even if I had a rope/chain. Like you said there was 3 of them and I doubt there is many youngin's without a cell phone if it's that bad. Not very many spots to hook up a rope/chain either without the risk of breaking something on these new vehicles, not something I would want to risk with complete strangers.
*side note* - Heater worked on the way home, it got way to cold and my windows kept fogging up not to run it. After GF it quite making noise until Fargo. Still works though, to cold out to be messing with something that hasn't completely quit yet.

I thought they might have run out of gas too...the irony of that is when their car died, they were right in front of a gas station.
Them New Yorkers can keep their bickering in that thread. We show up, ride hard, and have a good time...they ride and argue afterwards. Must be an Eastern thing... (JK of course...incase any of them read that)

Hmm, I cant believe no one noticed I had Sept 17th on the subtitle instead of Feb 17th,Ha.Its changed now.
When we were on our way back to DL to go load up for the day,I noticed my sled wasnt pulling as hard as it was earlier in the day,I didnt think much of it and thought it could just be my belt or something. So the next morning I was in the shop and opened the hood and my head cover had black oil splatter on it,upon further inspection I see one of my sparkplugs screwed itself halfways out I must not have tightened enought at some point.
So I cleaned the oil splatter up,retightened the plug and took it for a rip across the yard. Back to 100% again

^ Nice...glad it wasn't anything major! When we were unloading my sleds, we discovered the rear bumper on mine was a little loose. Upon further inspection the next day, I found a couple of the rivets holding the heat exchanger in popped themselves loose. Hopefully I can cut/drill them out, and put new ones in without trouble. Worry about that in a couple weeks. I'm guessing I must have tail landed it a couple times...or it was when somebody rear-ended my sled in the parking lot...
