Hey all, I hop this isn't a repost, but I could not find anything exactly like this in the search. I have a AC 600cc 2004 mountain cat that keeps bogging/dying after idling. The thing is running great, but if you ride it and then stop for a minute, when you hit the gas again it doesn't want to get going. It will start to get to higher RPMs and then will choke and almost die. It seems like its flooding the engine or just not getting spark after idling. I replaced the spark plugs and it seemed to help, but it still kept dying. Any thoughts?

I do not think it is water in the gas, but I don't think I have drained the whole tank since it started happening. I have added new gas to it and got it fairly low.
Wouldn't it effect the performance of the sled when normally riding?

when it happened with my dads sled we put a few miles on it and then it just started happening, would start up fine and you hit the gas make it a few feet would bog and die down, put some dry gas in it and it worked fine for a little then it started to do it again. drained the gas, cleaned the carbs and it worked fine again.

Is it carb or EFI? I always start at the powervalves because people often don't realize how significant they are. Sounds like something similar that happened to the ZR. Cleaned the APV's and it ran like a raped ape.

It is a EFI. I do not know much about power valves? The injectors? b.c that is what I was thinking. I am not much of a mechanic.

They are the things that sit in front of each cylinder on your engine with cables coming out the top. I'm assuming you haven't cleaned them if you don't know what they are. They should say APV on them. If I had a picture I would show you. I'm pretty sure there was a topic on "How to" do it not that long ago if you search for it. It would be hard to show you without pictures so I don't want to walk you through it without them. My guess is that they are extremely dirty. I'm sure that if you were able to to get to a higher rate of speed it would be fine but your's are probably so dirty that they won't even open anymore and thats why its dieing on you.
