alright so Im working on a friends sled, its a 1997 indy sport touring, 440 fan. It has a bad bog, and dosnt seem to want to go over 40-ish MPH (speedo dosnt work) I replaced the weights (which I beleave the old ones were 10-LA's or somthing, I replaced them with weights that only said 10... the dealer said they should work just fine) I replaced the pins, rollers looked just fine, so I decid I would look into the secondary.

It has a red spring, the helix does not look worn very bad, the buttons (which are giant BTW, looks nothing like the setup used in the 700's I have done) looked just fine. so I decided I need to either replace or ajust the spring. I cant get it dialed though, theres two holes in the helix, A and B, and then there are 4 holes in the clutch...

any one have any idea which hole(s) I should use?

make sure belt is good, make sure carbs are synced and working, plugs are good, make sure track isnt to tight. the replacement weights should have been an exact replacement, not a "it might work" kind of weights.

nothing goes like 3 holes!!

the weights are what my dealer recomended, so there what I bought. either way I got it figured out.

Thanks.
