Well its been quite a month of ramp riding. My buddy who normally films and edits videos of us rampin decided to step up and hit the ramp for the first time, so we pushed it in to 40-45ft for him. He had to bail off twice then got it dialed in, did about 40 or so clean hits then came up 4 ft short...smashed a whole bunch of teeth out, broke his jaw and cut his face up pretty bad. Goes to show that this is a serious game even with a small gap.
Anyways heres some rescent pics i took that turned out pretty clean, sled is in the shop so I was stuck behind the lens:

Danny Double grab

Dub grab hart attack

Nice pics man
You guys should think about using a saftey deck, I know its pretty knar ramping without one but its better for your health.LOL....Most of the guys up here like Dane all use saftey decks, it just make it a little less painful to progress.

Yeah they are both in the shop waitin on parts. Im itchin to ride, borrowed that iq and ripped it a lil, figured out seat grabs on it off a small jump hopin to take that to the ramp asap.

Yeah it would be nice to have a big safety, makes the gap look alot smaller tho haha. Our landing is actually huge, to overshoot at 70 u need to jump 100ft +.
Thanks for the positive feedback guys, helps motivate us to go out and beat ourselves up!

No prob, keep doing what your doing.
Ak has a lot of great freestylers but I think the future of freestyle is gonna be found out in the Flatlands of Canada, lower 48 and Norway/Finland. We have to many distractions up here, you guys down there are hittin ramps year round and just killin it.

Hahaha! My jump I was doin seat grabs off of was about that same size, think it may qualify as the shortest seat grab ever. Forget goin big...go small or go home. I will get video next time its pretty funny/lame.

Yeah I hear ya. U guys have unreal terrain up there. Ak has amazing talent on ramps and backcountry, same with sweden. I like to think I am more of a freerider then ramp tramp myself but am a little limited by our lack of riding area/snow. I just hit ramps to learn tricks to eventually transfer them to some cool natural hits if I ever make the trip out west. I wish there were more people around here that hit ramps, we really have no one to ride with outside of about 5 of us. Hopefully we can get a ramp scene goin here in ontario.

Thats a really good deal, usually it costs around 2-3000 to build one. We were lucky in that my buddies dad owns a heavy equipment rental company. We were also able to get a bunch of woodchips and astroturf together so we can now ride year round. Unfortunatly its a lot harder during the summer!

Yep that was us. Had alot of bugs to work out as that was our first show. The run in was death, after a few hits. Oh and we almost killed ourselves trying to practice in the 70km/h winds the night before. Next show should be better, I don't think people realize we are pretty new to this stuff still haha. Those FMXers are pros who ride for a living, we are just doin it for fun.
Heres a video of that show since u missed it...

Being fearless is the key to gettin hurt! You really need to be calculated to make this work. Fear is what makes it fun, overcomming your fear is a huge rush.

Thanks man, we have been tryin to step up to the level of our camera/editers stuff. In the beginning he would edit the footage amazing but the footage itself was kinda lame.
Thats a cool video, thats a big ramp hit to be learning stuff on. Must be nice to have a huge safety like that. Maybe this week we will push up some snow and make a safety. I watched some of ur buddies other stuff, that turnagain video is killer!
Here's some other kinda interesting shots showing the summer setup and what it looks like at night.
dust looks pretty cool in this one. Night riding is really trippy.
