If you have access to a welder or a person that can weld I have THE PERFECT hitch, I live in Nunavut and we travel great distances with large loads some times exceeding 1000lbs. The stock or off the shelf tow hitches can't cut the strain and break or bend with ease. The one I have was made by my uncle and it has not even been bent or warped and we travel like this.

Middle of the Arctic Ocean
Here are some pic of the hitch, They were not pictures specifically depicting the hitch, if you need clearer or more precise picture I will get some up later on this afternoon.

A little tail

You can see how it is attached to the tunnel

You can see how it sits on the sled also it has the tail light attached to it as well

You can see how it is also bolted to the bumper
I will try and explain how it works.
It is made of flat stock steel, the main peice is laid on top of the bumper and attached to the tunnel, it is attached by welding the main peice to another peice at a corisponding angle of the tunnel and then holes are drilled and the assembly is bolted to the tunnel with another flat stock backer, efectivly squishing the tunnel between it. The there is a tab that is welded to the underside of the main bar that is used to bolt the assembly to the back bumper for extra support. My description sucks I know but I will get some detailed pics later to help clearify things.
