Is it just me or do those skids look a little bit brittle..........it may just be me but im not sure how well those babys are going to hold up to the abuse from a hefty kind of rider...but otherwise they look really cool...

Those "grills" on the cowlings look funny. I would LOVE a crossfire too, they look killer for 09. the adj. risers do look a little cheap, but if there are any problems with them im sure cat will have the design refined for when they are released

02' ZL 600- Powermadd Pivot adapter kit w/ 4 inch riser and throttle ext, 96 woodys, carbides, cut down windy,Sno-Stuff Rumble Pak, Powermadd handguards

Haha I was at Waconia Farm supply recently.

Those things look pretty cool, and I am liking that idea for the riser, I mean, it looks tobe adjustable and I bet it is pretty damn strong compared to a normal block. They have something there!

I am friends with the arctic cat dealer right where I work and talked to him about arctic cat for a while at the bar the other night. They are pushing sleds on him like a mo fo. He still has a bunch of sleds to get rid of but always ends up figuring out how to make money on them. that is what seperates the good dealers from the shi**Y ones. Those sleds shouldn't be hard to sell except he dosn't sell many "M" sleds.

I was looking at getting a brand new sled sometime in the future and he told me he wouldn't sell me one!

That XF Limited looks awesome with that camo setup. With a different or lower windshield, and some different skis, I think you'd have one badass looking sled...

A mountain lion roaming the prairie found a bull, killed it and ate the entire bull. With a heavy belly, unable to walk, the lion laid in the tall grass moaning and roaring. Soon a hunter, attracted by the roaring, shot and killed the lion. Moral: When you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut!

Well, they have some interesting looking sleds comeing for next year. That Bearcat looks, well I don't know how to put it. Different I guess. That turbo Z1 is also a looker. I am tossed on that hood scoop. I realize it is a nessesity but a different desine might havebeen warrented.

Boss seats on the snow check sleds. Lots of nice improvements but still no direct injection. What wre they waiting for? Why arent hp or weight numbers officially posted? If they gained hp or lost lbs you would think they would let us know. If Doo comes out with a DI injected 1000 then the Cats will be old tech, again.

X-Fire R would be my choice!!!!

But Im still going for an 09 Sno Pro.
I dont know what year the sled was,
but I saw a burnt orange Sno Pro right next
to an '06 Polaris I.Q. HO.
The Cat made Polaris look stupid on every level.
I liked the larger size, It looked way more comfortable,
and the factory decals and graphics were awesome!
Just hearing that thing run was like comparing
a chevy 350 to a '68 Volkswagen Beetle.
I'm gonna dump my Polaris for whatever I can get
and "GO CAT"

Cool info below!

In a nutshell, the Z1 Turbo kicks out a reported 177 horses when plunked in the tipped Twin-Spar chassis (introduced last year) that delivers better handling and steering control. That makes it the highest-horse production snowmobile on the market for 2009. Cat claims it'll do 112+ mph too. Did we just hear some lake racers shout Woo Whoo?

Cat's own figures show the R 800 topping out about 105 mph, on par with its speedy 2003 F7. They also recorded the R 1000 at 110 mph. Cat radar runs put the F8 at 106 and the F1000 at 107.5 mph too. So pick your chassis, these all will haul tail.

Cheers

112.6 mph stock, that is pretty impressive I think. Looks like the xp's have alot of competition now! Maybe Cat is back on top.

I went to the show in Minneapolis last night to get a look. The turbos look better with the grille in front and the short track Xfire doesn't seem too much different than the 03-06 firecat. The dealer says it has 10 times better handling than the firecat with more hp. The suggested MSRP for the Xfire R 1000 is $11,600 and the Turbo is $13,500 - ouch!!!

All four brands were there, the place was crowded and overall I was unimpressed
