Ok, I am looking at buying a 06 440x with a 600 mod engine. the guy says its trail converted and runs on premixed pump gas. He said its has been reprogrammed to trail curve timing and it has been ported and it has twin pipes. The sled is very clean and in perfect condition with only 741 miles on it. says it gets 12 mpg or more. and he wants to sell to me for 6500 cdn, am I gettin hosed? he siad its pushin almost 140 H.P. he says the twins are a must with the porting and he said the porting just allows better flow of the gases.

he says that it would not blow up on me when doing trips, he said 200kms days is perfectly ok as long as you give it some good wide open sweeps when the trail allows it.

I trail ride a lot, ditcbang and jump.

Is this the sled for me? is he blowing smoke up my ass?

Thanks guys.

$6500 cdn doesn't sound like to much for an '06 if it looks good. Out here you can still get $6000cdn for an '04 in decent shape. I would jump all over it and if you don't like or it give you trouble I will buy it off you, looks like the kind of sled that I need to get my hands on, something that I ca beat up and it respond will to that kind of riding.

i have seen quite a few guys convert the race sleds around here. if you have the money.. id def consider it. Those 600 mod engines are pretty nasty. plus you just can not beat the suspension. the sled in the pics, which i think is the one is a really clean sled.

snow checked a new ride for the 2008/2009 season :-D
