Sounds like a standard ticket to me.
Probably around $125.
In Wis. most people take their tickets to traffic court.
Sometimes it helps to save points off your license
(if you have the point system)
and you can buy a little more time to pay it.
Should it be worth missing work for court anyway.
Most places have 3 agencies that distribute tickets.
City, County, and state.
Each one assesses what their guide line price is for
various offenses. each one getting progressively higher
from agency to agency.
As long as there is no criminal offense attatched
you should be able to call your county clerk and
get a fee amount. I would think it should be written
right on the ticket or something to go by on the back
written in the fine print somewhere.
I'm on D.U.I. #4............
Don't panic you'll live to fight another day.

I don't think he got a Dewey..I hope not, I think he got a failure to obey a traffic device or something. Plead not guilty and they will give you a seatbelt ticket.

That may be worth going to court over if you have the time. Give the judge the song and dance about being the responsible DD and know being familar with the neighborhood.

Hold that, just looked at your profile... at 18 you can't drink anyway. Pay the ticket.

Kind of unlucky, here doesn't matter how old you are if they ticket you you can go to court.

The way we have been doing it is if the driver gets ticketed for being a DD then everyone in the car pitches in to pay their ticket. It's just our code of eithics up here, they were nice enough to get you home safe so you chould be nice enough to help them out.

Were you in your hometown? or somewhere less familiar?

I got pulled over once turning up a one way street. But I was in a town I was unfamiliar with, and just said I didn't realize it was a one way (which was true)

Definately try to fight the ticket, bt in the future don't make illegal turns with drunk friends in the car!

Thanks for all the advise. I sorta got lucky in away to. In Ny they have a open container law and my idiot friends had beers open. Its kind of sick it was 9am and they were drinking. We threw all the beer under the seat.
