Just bought a used '03 Skidoo Legend 550 fan two weeks ago... it's the second time in two weeks that I've had to remove the fuel pump to disassemble and thaw it out, and it's getting to be a PITA. Both times the pulse line has been frozen with some build up of what looks like a greenish fuel/moisture slush in the diaphram side. Is there something that I can do to stop the pump/line from freezing???
Right now I've got a Sta-Dri in the tank and I'm thinking of adding Iso-Heet to the tank to see if this would help with possible moisture build up in the crank.
By the way, why didn't Skidoo add a fuel shut off valve to the fuel line??? Gonna have to put one in myself.

Yes iso-heet will work, I use it all the time. Sounds like you need better gas also.

gas shouldn't be a problem.. it's been running all this winter and already filled the tank once at the pumps... i put iso-heet in on this fill up and will see how that works..

I kept freezing my pulse line to this winter. Replaced crankshaft and seals, hope that will solve the problem. I figured motor was sucking in cold air and frost going the pulse line.

I would buy a rebuild kit for your fuel pump and see if that helps. There about $10.
If you never crash, your don't go fast enough.

Also I would take the tank right off and drain it or get something that can drain the tank comepletely. Water is heavyer (spelling) then fuel so it will stay at the bottom of the tank. I had the same problem on my Trail RMK 550 fan. There was a cup of water at the bottom of the tank and it will take a long time for a fuel additive to clean out all that water. I would do it properly the first time so that you won't have to keep fussing with the pump. Good luck with er and hope the problem stops.
