OK, I am a little frustrated. I bought and 06 Fusion (Dragon) 600 HO. The first thing i wanted to do was install my electric shield for my helmet. So, there is a dummy connector near the front of the belly pan in front of the motor (one male one female connector. Tested it with a light tester, had juice and it appeared to be a piece of cake. So i wired it up, got ready to go for a ride, plugged in the helmet and it killed the display, unplugged helmet, worked fine. So i looked again, found another dummy connector on the clutch side. So i rewired to that connector. This time we tested it before we wired, it by placing the light test ground by attaching it to the connector. It lit up so wired it. Well, again it killed the display when the helmet was plugged in. The helmet worked fine on my previous sled and i tried my dad helmet just to make sure it wasnt the shield. We even tried to ground it somewhere else on the sled because the ground seemed to be the problem.

Any help would be appreciated, already wasted over two hours looking for a stupid ground on that sled. Thanks.

I dont think you hooked it up wrong. Those fusions dont produce enough juice to run every thing, eventually your voltage regulator will burn out. I think I put 4 regulators in my old sled. My dad has a heated sheild hookup on his sled an he only uses it when he absolutly needs it. If he has the sheild plugged in he usually turns off the hand warmers. I dont know if other people are having this problem but my dad has a fusion, I used to have a fusion and my cousin has a fusion and they all had this problem.

Good to know. I was under the impression that those shields had so little draw that it wouldn't be an issue. Four voltage regulators huh?
