Wallygator and me left Proctor and went up to the mighty vacationair on a little saddle bag trip this weekend.
Some trails were a little rough and some trails were table top smooth.
We met up on the Hermantown trail by my house. Trail by the Midway road sucks but once we got into the woods, it was fine.
Went up to Fish lake then caught onto the Reservoir riders trail over to the state trail. Trail was nice and smooth.
Took the state trail over to the Pequaywan lake trail. In real nice shape.
Pequaywan lake trail up to Hoyt lakes. Trail was table top smooth north of hwy. 16 up to Hoyt lakes.
Took the trail from Aura to Babbitt. Trail was real nice.
Had lunch and gassed up in Babbitt ( 18.9 miles per gallon)
The Babbitt spur towards the Tomahawk was terrible, so we rode Birch lake to the secret trail to miss most of the Babbitt trail.
Took some logging roads to the Tomahawk and rode that to the Knotted pines.
191 miles the first day.
After a "few" cocktails Sat. nite, we finally got some sleep.
This morning we rode the Youkon down to the state trail. Real nice shape.
Took the state trail all of the way back to the Reservoir riders trail. Real icy in the a lot of places and some dirt spots but still ridable.
Leaving out from my place Sat. morning.
Our first break north of Pequaywan lakes.
Wallygator "reading" the sign on the tree.
Some of the scenery on the secret trail.
313 miles of smiles for the ride.
