Also 0-60 in 4.7 seconds just isn't slow. How can you say its slow if you have driven it? Even the 2004 with the LS1 was fast, but the 05 and 06 with the LS2 was a lightning bolt and would smoke about anything.
Good god buddy, 13.8 from a "performance" car is a joke. Hell 13.8 is a GOOD one - half of them were complete turds and ran low 14s.
Are you really going to say that the LS2 would smoke about anything? Are you that blind or retarded? I know of an SUV that would destroy that car, STOCK for STOCK.
I like American cars - but I'm not going to be blinded by what I prefer (or sell) and say it will trounce anything. That is just ignorant. Same goes for sleds - I like my old Polaris Triples but I appreciate an F7 (and plenty of other machines) and even suggested the F5 to a kid on here trying to decide between an Edge (which I own) and the F5.
Wake up, get a clue. Hell you don't even know the class of car Erick is interested in - suggesting cars that are so far from the category. No wonder you have aged units on your lot. "Hey I want a Grand Cherokee" "Well we have this nice RAV4 here for you..."
Erick -
I'm not a fan of the TT - at least the previous generation. Maybe I'll feel differently about the newest one. You are familiar with Audi, which as a whole (even with VW) are a great company that can really build cars. BMW is the same but just a bit more for the older crowd? I think of Audis of the young professional class, whereas the BMW for the young 30's. Both Manufacturers make great cars.

By all means, tell me about that Miracle SUV. Also I would love to know where you are getting you times. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pontiac_GTO Hell, my truck will damn near do a 14 second quarter. The GTO had a 12.9 second quarter mile. I wouldn't expect you to know though, it sounds like you are referring to a 2004 model.
I apologize about my smoke anything comment. I meant to say it would smoke about anything for the price.
Sorry erick for getting off topic. I really like the BMW AWD's like the 330 Xi. We had one on the lot and it was a great car. Also I dont fit to well in the TT's.

I looked at some BMW's...I like them, but there's just something about the Audi's I can't explain. It has something to do with the overall design. I just "like" the way they look. I will tend to agree with your statement. I think Audi is for a younger generation (though, not that young). Their styling is a bit more radical, less conservative than others. BMW is what I'd consider a mid 30's, early 40's business mans working car. They are both great, and I do like how the BMW's look...I just prefer the overall styling of the Audi's. They make a bolt statement.
Either way...I think I've decided to hold off until next fall and order up a TTS with the direct injection, 4 cylinder, turbo charged engine pumping out an easy 265HP and averaging about 32 MPG....much better than the current V6. It should be easier to tinker with that engine too. Bumping it up to over 300 HP should only cost a few hundred bucks if things are in line with the current Audi turbo charged cars. Though, I think my car is entitled to a new set of wheels and an ECU flash to keep things interesting over the summer. I'm still not 100% certain I'm going to do this...but it's pretty "for sure". I'll keep my eyes peeled....loving the looks of the new TT's.

Well, if you feel that way about the Audis then get one. One thing I have learned in life is this-you will not be happy until you get what you really want. Don't compromise. I remember when I was a kid I was big into transformers, well my mother promised a certain one to me and we went everywhere to get it and just could not find it. It was one of the bigger super deluxe ones, well I ended up compromising and getting another one. I never liked it very much.

I decided to hold on to my car yesterday after trying out an A5. I pretty much ruled out the TT because the engine / drive options didn't line up with what I was looking for. The A5, an extremely nice car, is something I'm interested in but the dealer gave me a terrible quote on trade in for my car and I didn't feel like handing them my car plus a check for approximately $40,000. Skipponator brought my to Further Performance, a shop downtown Minneapolis, yesterday and I got my car flashed with the APR 91 octane mapping. I also got an APR diverter valve installed. This bumps the horsepower up to the 260 mark from a stock 225. There's a noticeable difference! So, another summer with the TT. I am gonna look for some wheels for the summer too, and do a few other small things like a boost gauge. I'll probably place an order for a TTS (which comes with a 270 HP direct injection 4 cyl and all wheel drive) and that would be delivered next spring about February or March. That is really the car I want so I'll wait. I just need to tinker with mine a bit in the time being.
Today I washed and waxed the car. I used a new kind of wax called PermaSeal. It went on real easy and seems to work well! Probably the easiest wax I've ever done. I also removed the quarto badge on the back of the car and replaced it with this APR one.

Less than 5 miles from me and you didn't stop by to say hello, what a guy
I talk to Tristan almost daily, we used to work together. He's a straight shooter and knows his stuff. Good decision Eric

Yea, it was a bit dirty on Friday! I just washed it the week before too but that's what rain / snow will do I guess. Although, it rained and snowed last night and the car looks great today...only a couple water spots on the hood. It looks like that wax really works! I'll re-do the hood since that's the first part I started on and am not sure I did it 100% right though.

I think Carousell wanted $269 for the kit, which is like $10-$20 cheaper than ordering from AWE direct.

Whohooo, got an APR intake pipe and found out I did not have a K&N air filter (even though a sticker on top the airbox indicated I did) so I got one of those too! Also got a new set of wheels and rubber! Thanks for the help skip! Now believe the last thing I need is a boost gauge. The car flies pretty good now. I'd guess she's pushing 275 HP with the things that are done to it. Damn skip though...every time I go down there to do something to my car he buys one more thing for his just to keep a step ahead. This time he bought a manual boost controller to see if he can't increase boost by 3-4 psi.
Edit: Here is a picture. I'll get a better one when it's nicer out and the car is actually clean.

Edit again: As I said, cleaner pictures if you're interested.

Looks really good Erick! So with the boost controller, we been hitting 25psi and it scoots, but I do not want to run that high with my stock exhuast and intercoolers, so I got it dialed down to 22. Dual stage controller will be in next week, so I will run 17psi for daily driving, and flip a switch to activate high boost to prolly 23psi for street killin'! Just thinking of what to do next....
