I agree, they are helpless, anybody that even attempts to be cruel to an animal needs a beatdown.

I didnt watch the video and read this topic to the point where some idiots started being ignorant...
but I agree with most. Kill these people. People that have no problem with doing what those people are doing should be skinned alive .. maybe thrown in a vat of acid afterwards?

^ That doesn't even make sense really. To kill the coon or other animal first before skinning wouldn't make much of a difference.
Here's my opinion on that vid. Why the hell isn't PETA chasing after them. They sit over here and complain that it's not humane to shoot an animal, but that stuff is going on across the ocean. What's wrong with this world.
By the way, I have a pretty strong stomach for stuff like that and my stomach was turning. That's bad.

I am choosing to not watch the videos. I love animals, and I am sure I would not be happy after seeing it. Infact, am I the only one here that is willing to admit that I would have a harder time watching a cat or dog being tortured rather than a person? I can stomach human trauma and violence, doesn't bother me, but animals, especially pets, are tough! I remember a few years back, seeing a video of kids with a cat in a cage, and them dousing it with gas and flicking a match into the cage. I wanted to beat them senseless!

I’ve been reading and re-reading this topic over the last couple days to see what new posts have been made and by whom, and wondering how to construct my own $.02. Being an Alaskan Native (Yupik Eskimo – yahoo) who has relied on hunting (and trapping) animals and gathering from the land to help supplement my family’s income and sustenance, I wanted to make sure that what I have to say is not mis-construed and misunderstood, as I admit to participating in the fur-trade industry.
Firstly, I’ve been taught by those older then me (before I was a know-it-all) that when I was hunting or trapping any animal that I SHOULD NEVER ALLOW THEM TO BE MADE TO SUFFER MORE THEN POSSIBLE IN THE TAKING OF THEIR LIFE’S. ‘Dispatch them as quickly and painlessly as possible’ was what I was brought up with from my uncles and other older folks. This was done with the knowledge that in my culture how we treat animals in this life – we, ourselves, will be treated by others. I know that I may be thought of as a ‘weirdo’ or worse for my principles, but these principles are mine and I don’t really care what anyone thinks, just as I read your posts and formulate my own opinions from what you state.
Secondly, I have conducted my own research into PETA and offer my opinion; that I take everything they have to say with a grain of salt, a huge “rocksalt-or-larger” piece of grain. I don’t believe a thing they have to say regarding their ‘stance’ on animals versus humans. I do know that they regard the ‘rights’ of animals far outweigh the ‘rights’ of humans, and the earth would be better off without humans on this planet. I agree with Blackcat, why aren’t they over there in China putting an end to this, instead of smuggling out proof that a country that doesn’t have any laws governing animal cruelty is committing said cruelty, and to what ends for said organization (PETA) to show said proof??? My personal opinion is “they are a bunch of wackos” wackos being the operative word. In other words, do your own research into everything you believe in, or don’t – don’t just be a mindless mouth to the current hot topic.
Thirdly, there are things happening in this world that you can change and things that you can not change, and the sooner you know the difference the better off you are. Shock video such as this will always be available to anyone who seek it, and you will always see extreme responses to such information. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t ‘poo-poo’ such information, or that you should commit to the first ‘gut reaction’ that you feel, but that you should know, understand, comprehend and realize that there are some things out there in this big, wide world that you have no control over. The old adage, “Lord, give me the Strength to accept the things I can not change, the Courage to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference.” is important. Even though I don’t subscribe to any 12 step program, it’s a dose of knowledge to everyone.
Lastly, and I think the most important point, we live in a society where you have every right to your opinion even if the ‘soap bucket’ you stand on may be governed by another. I greatly appreciate ArcticOhio’s military service, as well as all other past and present service men and women, who have given their lives for me to say what I feel is right – Thank you all and my hat is off to you all. i couldn't watch the videos either...i just dont understand why no one is stopping this...i posted an animal cruety topic before..like most of you on this site i LOVE animals..i dont mind hunting unless you dont torture the poor thing and hes going to a good cause at least right? feeding people?...but this is horrible...lets just all try and donate what we got extra. it will help...i just think it of this way..there are LOTs of people in the world who take great care of there animals..and i think of how many animals have great lives. everytime i hear about this topic...i try to care better and better care of my pets, i love them to death i could never do something like this for anything and anyone.

Absolutely horrific! Why could you do that to such innocent animals? I seriously almost lost my lunch every time they would slam them down or step on them I would cringe and tighten up... First off, it's a coon. Not an animal any person in their right mind would want as a pet. Secondly, donate your money to who?? Noone is going to be able to go into China and stop this. If I remember right, even this video was just to make it seem like all fur industry is that bad, the money you send to them won't stop whats going on in China, it'll hurt the people who do things humanely.
Scumpman had some pretty good things in his post. Like you can't change everything, sometimes you just have to move on.
It is tempting to send this video link to PETA and ask them if they care so much about animals why they aren't over their trying to make the fur industry more humane instead of hunting down people over here that leave there pets in a vehicle with the windows cracked. I realize it's everywhere, it may be across the world, your neighbors, maybe even in your own house. My biggest compaint with PETA is that they take it too far. Instead of fighting for those animals in China (or others like that in the US) they take on Hunters and other people who still handle animals better then us humans handle each other. Then again, maybe they just know they can't take on those people who are that cruel and instead only go for the people with a conscience. Another problem they have is simply that they try to shut down industries. If they had a brain in that skull of theirs, they would know that by trying to make it more humane instead of completely shutting it down, they would be viewed alot better and have more pull.

1st of all i couldnt watch the hole video and secondly they make it seem like its all china but realy it happens all over the world with animals and humans. You cant hate an entire nation for what a few people have done. but i dont like china either way.and we cant stop it no matter what. just last year here in my small town there where 2 kids who found a baby cat and where torturing it throwing it up in the air throwing it at stuff. and they killed it. its messed what some poeple do in this world of ours. and im not a tree hugger i hunt of fish. just my 2 cents.
