Gmax are great helmets, priced very well. For goggles i'd go for scott or spy.

Shift helmets, One industries helmets are great helmets. priced decent and look sweeet. 509 sinisters are great goggles run around 80 bucks. Dragon Optix are good goggles as well. Scott goggles are tried and trued goggles so they are great too.

I recommend the ToBe helmet with either 509 goggles or ProGrip light sensitive goggles. Very comfortable and looks great. Helmet is $200 and goggles are around $65 each. The helmet is a small make though so you would need to order one size larger than normal. I have no complaints with my helmet or goggles. The bottom trim on the helmet started to come off but a small dab of superglue fixed it.Heres a couple pics.
