just wondering how well a formula z 583 will water cross, im thinking about taking mine across a pond, i know its a heavy sled but i think i can do it right? anybody have any pictures of them water crossing a formula or a mach

I've done it with my Formula 3. It was not a fun experience. For starters, the skis kicked water up towards the seat. I was SOAKED from the waste down...you can clearly note that in the picture. It also did not care for the crossing of the water too well. I made sure it hit it plenty fast. I still almost lost it once though...had the back end of the sled under the water as I hit the 'shore'.

If you decide to try it, hit it fast the first few times to get the feel, and the best of luck to you. I know I will not water cross my F3 again unless I must.

alright, thanks for the info i think if i do water cross i will find a area that inst deep only a couple of feet and something that is not very long distance. i just don't want to sink.
