jetting, clutching, airbox hacking, getting more cold air under the hood, the cheapest and easiest stuff to do which will give you big gains is anything to do with tuning.

having the carbs clean all the time, change your oil and gas filter, riding in the temperature your sled is jetted for will make it run good!
