So i have a 1995 mach 1 670, i just got it back from the dealer with clean carbs and a rejet for 9,000-12,00 ft. Took it up today and was running great, i then found a nice feild to play around in. I came to a stop, it was idleing for like 15 seconds then it died. I tried to start it and nothing, it felt alot eaiser to pull too. So i put in new plugs, still nothing. I then poped off the can and it was full of gas, put in dry plugs and it would fire first pull then die as soon as it fired. Some helpful guys came and told me to hold it a full throtle while trying to start it. After about 10 pulls it started up, i got it all put back together and took it for a spin to clear it up. It was running good so i shut it off and gathered all my stuff, went back to start it and nothing. Had to go through the same thing 2 more times and then i finally got it back to the truck. Anyone got any ideas?

It could be possible that the choke is stuck and making it run super rich. I would take it back to the dealer and complain.

No choke on these sleds.
Could be rich. When you pulled the plug did you test the spark? If so how strong was it?

You will want to start by pulling the RAVE valves off and clean and adjust. Be sure you are using the correct plugs, NGK BR9ES or equivelant. Double check the throttle cable adjustment. I know the dealer just went through them, but they would not be the first to dealer to get the adjustment wrong. Check your plugs, are both running rich or just 1. If they are burning uneven, you will most likely have either a coil problem or the carb adjustment. How many miles are on the sled? Has it ever been re-built?

I talked to the dealer today and they think its needle/seat problem im taking it back to them on thrusday. They say they are going to do it for free except for price of parts, i will ask them about the inline filers. I cleaned the rave valves when i cleaned the carb, but didn't really know how to adjust them. i know how they are adjusted will do diffrent things as far as top end bottem end acc? Both plugs where a nice golden brown it was more just flodding to the point of gas building up in the exaust and the plugs being soaked, rather than running rich. I was told by the previous owner it had around 3500 on it, and i dont think it has been rebuilt yet. I plan on doing that over the summer, but i still want to be able to ride the rest of the season.
plugs are also br9es ngks.
