If I change the setting of the transfer rods on my viper, will it put more weight on the ski's? When the conditions are unpredictable it doesn't like to steer well because theres not enough weight on the ski's. I know I can tighten the straps but they are already pretty tight.

I was thinking the same for my SRX. I really don't understand the concept of them but everyone says it makes the sled 100 times better. Bender has a cool setup where it's just a sleeve or collar that you pull and twist or something to adjust. Kinda pricey but I'll be tearing apart my rear suspension this summer anyways to replace the rails, and I was thinking of investing in a set of them. Anyone have any info or feedback on these adjustable transfer rods?

Yea my brother has the bender ones too and I think my viper (03) came with them from factory. I was guessing that if you adjusted them in either direction it would limit how far back the weight would transfer so I assume if I tightened them it would keep more weight on the ski's. I don't know about your SRX but my dad has an 02 and it's pretty heavy on the ski's and my uncles 98 has the rods and it seams to be a little lighter on the ski's.

we ahd an 01 srx with the bender transfer rods. absolutely insane upgrade that should be done on every sled. when ur going down the trail steering is not a problem but as long as u got that throttle to the bar them skis are gonna stay up in the air.

transfer rods, transfer the weight from front to back, which can also help from lets say going from a groomed trail to a feild with 4+ft of fresh pow. when ever we got some decent snow fall i usually change them on my dad's sled so that he can get around alittle better. he would but he can hardly do anything his shoulder is all messed up.

i also bought a set of transfer rods for my 97 v-max from this site http://www.mountainperformance.com/
