so, my 98 xc 7 has a badly cracked tunnel and the shock tower was bent/cracked and the hole in it was wallerd out.. so I was looking for a new chassis for it..

found a new deal though, My friend had a 99 rmk sitting around, tunnel/bulkhead belly pan, skid plate, all front suspension but the shocks, hood, steering post, jack saft, secondary clutch, chain case, 121" xtra-10 and 121" track from a 98 xc, air box and misc. other parts.... the best part is I got a SMOKING deal on it, practicly free..

so heres my plan- Im not sure on how long of a track I want under this thing, but I think a 121" RMK would be kinda cool... somthing different, haha. or I could threw my 136/1.75 under it.

the engine, shocks, drivers and all other needed parts are going to be stripped from my 98 and put on the rmk... kinda be kind of cool, already got alot of spare parts for 99 rmk's.. seeing as I already have one thats a 136, and am in the process of buying a 99 rmk with a 156, might as well have one with a 121 right? haha.. at least when one sled breaks I can just take a part of one Im not riding.. :D

gona suck to see the 98 go down, that was one hell of a sled!

so, what are you guys doing for sleds over the summer?

98.5 rmk/xc- The new ... frankinsled.

I'm going to work on my daughter's bravo. It needs new slides and the skid could use a paint job. Now that my sled is wrecked, i'll just be waiting for the dragon 800 to show up.

Im gonna be stripping the Monster stickers off in favor of something different. Gonna try to trim 20lbs off the sled to bring it down to about 445lbs dry. Also gonna put on a RKT 800 big bore and vent the hell out of the hood. Should be fun. 160hp and 445lbs sounds good to me. Also have to do the regular maintenance like changing hyfax, cleaning, greasing, changing DD oil and misc. stuff.
