any way i can improve the gas milage on my 02 zr 5. 5 mpg gets old after a while
loud pipes save lives

Jetting, check your cables, could be a number of things. With my 97 powder extreme i was getting around 5, but i had a bad oil pump cable and it was running way to rich. We got a new one and it solved it. I would say check that and your jetting and adjust accordingly.

i heard that the zr and zl 500 were bad on fuel to start with,a guy who used to ride with us had a zl500 and he tried playing with the carbs and stuff,it got better but was still worse than my 600

by looking at the plugs it doesnt seem to be running to rich. i was told that the reeds might be worn out and not sealing tight. would this cause any problems. i have all summer to get it right but 50 miles on a tank of gas will get old real fast next season. especially when i ride with 7 and 800's that get more miles than i do

my easy fix
spend some dough
buy a bigger fuel tank
or, check all you lines, pumps, carb, jetting.
and if nothing helps i agree with Xx08BRAAAPPP22xX Quote *ease off the flipper*

tunnel from Vertical Edge chassis with fuel rack
left hand throttle
1/8 inch tapered bars
four inch riser
Ceramic coated SLP Pipe and Silencer
