I am probubly bringing up an old topic but I think it bears repeating. Check your water traps on the carbs for rot. I had one split after my last ride and dunp gas all over the ground underneath the sled. Im glad it didnt rupture while I was riding!! It would have shut down the sled at least or done something a lot worse. I bought a 600 zrt a few years ago thet was burned and always wondered what happened. I might have found out!! The water trap is only $1.75 from the cat dealer and is cheap insurance to prevent a problem. Later Mantabill

I had the hose on mine split last year on the trail, lucky i was able to trim it above the split and put it back together to get me home cuz i was alone and about 20miles from home at 11pm.so check the hoses too when you have the carbs off for your pre season carb clean.Bend um and if theres cracks the replace the hose, you can get it at any autoparts store.

yes thats what happened to your ZRT. You can even see videos of them burning on youtube.

I replaced mine with solid black thick hose and threaded a tight bolt into the bottom of them with a hose clamp.
