Up for sale is my NHT SW2P Subwoofer used in my home theatre set-up.

Condition of the sub woofer cabinet is nearly flawless with one small nick aprox. 2mm big. It can only be seen when standing directly over the unit and at close range. The grill has 4 snags that can only be seen at a couple of feet away. I did not notice them until I pulled the unit out for pictures. The cabinet has a beautiful black piano gloss finish.

This subwoofer is a passive unit and is powered by a NHT MA-1 80W mono amp.

The ampilfier is likewise in great shape with the face plate being again nearly flawless. There are some small scratches towards the back, on the top of the unit.

The volume control knob on the amplifier feels loose and there is no longer a beginning or end to the volumn control. The volumn control does work however. To get around this, I use my receiver to control the LFE (subwoofer) volumn. Once dialed in, one does not typically adjust the volumn much anyway.

Specifications

NHT SW2P subwoofer:

10" woofer in vented enclosure
Frequency response 27hz-350hz
200W maximum
Impedance 8ohms nominal, 6.2 minimium
Dimensions: 16" W by 16" H by 16" D
Weight: 40 lbs

NHT MA-1 mono amplifier and electronic crossover
Power rating 80W into 8 ohms
Dimensions: 16" W by 3" H by 13" D
Weight: 11 lbs

Also included in the sale is speaker wire used to conect the amplifier to the subwoofer.

The amplifier can be connected to you're reciever via speaker wire or a subwoofer interconnect cable. Connection depends on your personal prefence and possibly your receiver.

If interested I also have a 4' Signal Cable that cost $40 new that I will sell at half price for $20.

I am asking $125.00 for the sub and amp. This item cost $800 new and I have seen recent items sell for much more on ebay and audiogon.

I will not ship but depending on location I would be more then happy to deliver the item and help set up and calibrate.

Google NHT and SignalCable and you will see that both companies produce a great product at great prices

This is a great deal, but I just ordered my new baby. Velodyne DD10. BANG!! For those who don't know, this NHT is a very powerful, and most importantly, very MUSICAL sub.

ummmm...that Velodyne is a sweet sub for sure. I just was talking to my brother as a matter of fact and he was talking about that exact same sub as his next upgrade.

I've gone the SVS route and am going to try out a cylinder sub.

http://www.svsound.com/products-sub-cyl-pcpow2.cfm

It ships next month so I thought I'd go ahead a try to unload this one in the mean time.

I have also reconsidered and will ship.

Let me know what you think. I've heard a few cylindrical designs and have not been impressed. But svs looks like they've put some thought into it. If it doesn't work, let me know, and I'll hook you up with a velodyne DLS-4000 for less than what you're paying for that.
