IMO any one with post counts super high, are posts whores and just post to post. Not giving any good input at all. like just to say "i agree" or some stuff like that. Im not saying i never have. But these kids with the post counts in the 3000+ range and who have only been here for a couple years just post to post. In short, its annoying.
So are you saying I post just to post not giving input at all. I don't think you were but you said "anyone with posts counts super high".
High post counts "can" but don't "always" mean the person has been here along time and contributes alot of good stuff for many years.
Sean-- Those are skilies IMO. You were jumping and coming down or hitting a jump.
i kinda left out i didn't really mean the mods.

I was just scared of maybe bringing the sled up on the back, and breaking the bumper/tail off or something. I didnt want to get bashed, that's why I posted it with an apology, but of course, I have the people that hate me on here, so be it.
I bought my trailing arm today for $102 shipped, and tommorow I wont bother drilling rivets, figure since I got a couple bucks left, I'm gonna go biking to the store and pick up an application.

EFP dont worry about wheeling over, your not going to... I stand my sled up ALL the time, and have yet to wheelie over... the only time I even came close was when the hill got to virt and I cought air, landed on the tunnel and the front end flopped down.
If I were you I would worry about what is most functional and what looks good.

it was tight. this one time i put 89 octane instead of 87 and my sled went like 60 times faster and i could water skip because it went really fast. i recomend 89 or 91 to anyone.

i doubt your going to be doing very many vertical sky skillies. and ive nevver seen any damage from people doing this. If you hand hard, like off of a jump on your tunnel its going to break, even stock or a race chassis. but taking off your limiter straps and going verticle will still be hard to bend it. And i've never seen a sled go backwards before, only in powder.
The porpose of a tilted tunnel is to clear snow more effectivly and when you trent out you can pick it up easier.
by the correct one for your sled, and ride it. i got $10 that you wont break it when popping over a hill and hammering it. unless your took your straps right off. and have lots or weight and power.

Yeah, because, I mean, he bought me a new sled, and then paid for all the parts I'm getting for my sled, right? Why do you think I'm working on my sled, and why do you think I'm pshyced about getting this trailing arm, now all I need to get it to get it driving again is an exhaust and skis.

Skillie???? I am waiting for "tool" to come out. Always wonder when I see that in a post what the mental capacity of the poster is, can't you just say, hammer, 9/16 wrench, vise grips, I mean come on there a 1000's of different tools.
Oh, by the way, I agree. Wouldn't worry about trashing your tunnel.

Constructive posts? You almost make it sound as if you always have "construtive posts".. you come here titling your threads looking for forgivness, then you turn around the next day and try sounding like a smart ass on another website and put polaris down, then go on to calling some one a dumb ****.... You must be a pro at being constructive, right?

All right enough, this is not jerry springer! Take you little "fights" somewheres else like a p/m. If you guys don't except his apology then so be it, but don't take over his thread with these comments you guys have. If you have something nice to say then say it if you have nothing then keep your comments to your selfs please. Now back on topic, Sean you do not need a new sled to do "skilies" I would play around with your limiter straps and or suspension. I would not play around with it to much because if and when you drag race some one you don't want your skis in the air 2 feet you know what I mean?

Yeah like here have said, you won't flip over backwards. Even less of a chance after you extend it. Now that I have done it to mine, I wouldn't ever long track a short track again. I would buy a diffurent sled next time. The long track is lots better in powder. But I would rather have my 121x1,75 back. Extending it has totaly messed up my transfer. It's like my skis are almost planted on the ground. I have loosened my limmiter straps a lot already, but I don't like how you can feel it's a fake wheely. With my old set up I could stand it straight up on hard pack. Now it just spins. I would really warn you to reconcider extending it. Do you want wheelys, or better deep snow floatation? I know stock mountian sleds wheely just as good as any 121, but there's something about extending it that messes with your setup bigtime.

Here is my sled catwalking on slush. I can get this sled to lift alot better on snow but i do not have any pics. I've tried to flip my sled back and it is probally not going to happen because the bumper catches the snow and then it throws the front end back down. I've came close to flipping when I try it off a drift though.

northmxzrider, idk why your sled would pick up more on snow than slush. My sled will hold the skis way up when I skip. Thats my worst fear when skipping, that im gonna put the skis to the sky, and lose traction and go under.

Maybe my sled would hook up better on water but that pic was on shallow slush.

ok sean go out, stand on the grab bar and pin it on some hard pack its not going to break and if it does, sh*t happens but ive never herd of some one breaking the back of their tunnel off doing a skilie my old srx was very sky happy if i pinned it from a dead stop on sheer ice it would bring it up into the air, it even threw my fiend off when it was VERTICAL and then the sled came promptly down

Ok. enough with all this nonsence. how come all of his posts go off the rails!
Unless you land really tail heavy at speed or height your not going to break it most likely, or wacking it on something. my tunnel end is bent down and slightly twisted, but thats from a roll over. busting through a cornice and sticking the sled vertical on its tail most liley wont bend them.
A sheet or metal is very flimsywhen it is not bend up. It gains integrity as the 90 degree bends are put it. those extensions are pretty strong.
And for the tail to bend up youd need to completely miss the track and have 500 pounds of sled come down on only the tunnel. Another way would be smoking a stump at vertical.
Buy the entesion. make one what ever. I think the tilted up tunnel ext. would look awesome on the ZX. but the revs also have 16"wide tracks, so i think the tunnel is wider.

If you flip your sled over while doing a "skillie" than its all the riders fault, if your that big of a dumb@ss than you need to stay off of any snowmachine.
While hillclimbing we make a point of it to ride the back grab bar all the way to the top and ive only ever seen one kid flip a sled over and thats because he had about 300 miles of experience and desided to jump on a big boy sled.
You know what you need to do sean? Quit posting and put that freaking sled together and ride it, thats it...just do it. Should be nice and easy right?
